Wolves Academy Thread

Blimey, Carty is cumbersome. I don't like having a go at a young kid but how have people at the club looked at his physique and movement and thought "yeah, that's ok"?

Not even the mighty gap-toothed lovely that is Iwan Roberts?

He pre-dated Big Havard.

Andy Mutch was cumbersome too and I didn't mind him.

He's grown a fuckload in the last couple of years

Finished 1-1, should have been 5-0 at HT, wasn't because of some woeful finishing and some good goalkeeping. We lost it a bit with Lonwijk and Samuels going off (keeper should have walked for the latter, shocking challenge). Crap penalty to give it away at the end.

There are some poor players in there. Estrada, Diallo, Hong Wan, Samuels and Carty will be lucky to make it to Hednesford/Telford level. That side of the club needs a revamp, something has gone wrong somewhere.

Lonwijk was good when he was on, Corbeanu has the Bright/Ennis thing of being too good for this level but nowhere near ready for the first team. Cundle is a good footballer but I can see him going the way of Conor Ronan where no-one trusts him because he's tiny.

Think Cundle will go the way of Elliot Watt - good footballer, will just need to go out and get games.

Thoughts on this quite by Nuno re Theo?

I get you've got to keep them grounded sometimes to mitigate them going "full Bright" but not fully sure its appropriate to share with the media? Keep stuff in house. Maybe I'm reading into stuff too much.

That was in direct response to a question about panenka penalty that was saved tbf
