Wolves Academy Thread

U23's playing some nice intricate stuff without having the cutting edge of of the ball movement needed to open Palace up.

Got undone by Frank set piece defending for the second goal (I missed the first).

A bit too negative in attack when the ball goes wide as invariably it goes back to the defenders and recycled to start again allowing the opposition to recover into shape. Need to play at a higher tempo with better movement to win this now.

2-1 Thunderbastard from Corbeanu cutting in on his right from the left flank.

3-2 down in ET having been undone by a long punt forward and just failing to defend.

Very entertaining game but sadly came up short. Corbeanu, Campbell, Richards and Cundle all very good.

Palace were just fitter and stronger in the main as the better football was played by us.

We looked good! Richards did well I thought. Ultimately undone by being smaller and not as fit I think.

I had a quick look through their team and the majority we're 20/21. Our lads tend to be nearer 18/19, a few years makes such a difference at that age.

I think this group might get split up a bit now with loans out

Only 20 and whilst he doesn't look like he will ever trouble the Prem maybe they think they can make some money on him eventually. Worrying he doesn't have a senior goal in the two brief looking loans he has had.

The u23s aren't blessed with strikers. It'll be his chance to post some big numbers this coming season.
