Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

this morning - no plans to review guidance on face masks in schools
this evening - advice against use of facemasks in school is withdrawn

do they actually have policies, or do they just do stuff and change their stance based on the media reaction?

They wait for Sturgeon to make decisions, then wait a few days and then follow it

“I’m afraid your grades were almost derailed by a mutant algorithm and I know how stressful that must’ve been for pupils up and down the country"

Fuck off Boris.

Whose great idea was it in the first place?

Another Civil Servant bites the dust yet the minister in charge remains in his post and is up for the MP of the year award!

Jonathan Slater, the most senior civil servant in the Department for Education (DfE), is to step down from his post in the wake of the exams fiasco. The prime minister has concluded that there is a need for fresh official leadership at the Department for Education.

That’s Saint Dom of Barnard Castle at work. No minister will be accountable in this government.

45k dead, hundreds of thousands of exam grades fucked. But Boris is “spitting feathers” because the BBC won’t play the lyrics of Rule Britannia. Priorities you fucking imbecile.

There's no proms this year is there? So no crowd in the Albert hall to sing along, just another chance for " patriots" to complain about the BBC being PC and inflicting lefty cultural Marxism on the country, along with Jeremy Corbyn being friends with terrorists

Last Night Of The Proms is a fucking abomination anyway.

Speaks volumes that the fat cunt allegedly in charge thinks it in any way represents modern British culture.

It's up there with the Churchill statue, just diversion tactics. There won't be singing because social distancing means it's not possible, but we need to get OUTRAGED.

That said, Rule Britannia! singing about us never being slaves while colonising other countries and making their people ones, doesn't stand up particularly well.

There's plenty to celebrate about British culture. The Beatles, David Hockney, Banksy, Ridley Scott, Bowie, Damien Hirst, Sam Mendes, Ian Rankin, countless actors, take your pick. Tons more.

That Daily Mail fest is everything I hate about Britain.

And Churchill can fuck off too. Fat old drunk racist that he was.

Williamson has said that kids not going back to school will affect their "life-chances".

This from a government/party that for 10 years now has consistently implemented policies that have adversely affected the life chances of millions, including policies that have caused preventable deaths in the hundreds of thousands.

6 days after saying he would meet the Families for the bereaved group, they've received a reply to the letters they sent that he didn't know about with him advising that he's unable to meet them.
coward.

Amazing from Boris in PMQ's. Clearly think the IRA stuff with Corbyn is still a usable tactic so when the obvious U turn jab from SKS came in his response

"Johnson accuses Starmer of U-turning on Brexit, accuses him of wanting to remain in the EU and supporting a leader who backed the IRA."

Running out of ideas it seems to attack, so back to the Corbyn methods. All very odd

Not sure if it should be in here or the RIP thread. Prime Ministers Question Time may as well be abolished. Alex the not so still not answering questions, rebuked three times by the speaker, making false claims about Kier Starmer and the IRA, still banging on about Brexit and schools being safe. At least he has a new tact now in that Kier Starmer should support workers going back to work and that it is safe to do so. Those working from home who are now being falsely accused not doing so and of doing something wrong by acting on their employers instructions will be impressed.

The bloke is an absolute cnut. Ian Blackford raised a point of order regarding a story that appeared in the Scum and elsewhere from Downing Street sources stating the Blackford was responsible for outing where the PM was holidaying. Blackford and his family have been subject to threats over this story. No apology just more bluster.

U-Turn again, this time on the easing of lockdown measures in parts of the North West.

The level of gibberish has been raised again. How soon before we see a coup?

It'll happen if the wider electorate see through him. Stupid as it sounds I don't think we are there yet. Still the man that gave us our country back to many

From the BBC...

There has been a drop in the percentage of close contacts of people who have tested positive for coronavirus reached by England's Test and Trace system.

Some 69.4% of contacts were reached for the week ending 26 August, down from 77.1% for the week before, according to Department of Health and Social Care figures.

It is the lowest weekly percentage since the service was launched in May.

For cases handled by local health protection teams 97.3% of contacts were reached and asked to self-isolate in the week ending 26 August, compared to 59.8% of those handled online or by call centres.

Still world beating or in the “top tranche” internationally?

Who would have thought that the local health authorities knew the best way to run things and not the government when they stated that local boots on the ground would be a far better system than centralised call centres. Oh well Dido already has her next role (fuck up?) in place anyway.

Abbott's (his dreadful traits aside) trade expertise is to compromise health, welfare and environment standards to do the deal.
