Tbh I'd take it, in that I'd rather hurt Reform even if it meant boosting the Tories. You know it's only going to be a temporary boost until he fucks something up too

precisely, but I think that's just one aspect and I imagine it'll never get properly analysed given any award 'interference' was likely conducted in secret over whatsapp with conversations conveniently 'lost' or 'forgotten'. demonstrated by the likes of Rishi, who on the one hand claimed that any taxpayer spend across his desk is properly assessed on value to the taxpayer (Rwanda) suggesting he's a man of detail, yet to 30+ questions from the Covid committee answered with an 'unable to recollect'.

you then have a stream of contracts given under the test and trace programme (£30bn spend) with seemingly no regard to ensuring VFM or protecting taxpayers from out of market profit margins. Same in the ppe supply hence the Medpro scandal and intimations it applies more widely in that whole supply.

In news surprising to nobody, leaked files allegedly suggest that the lazy oaf has used contacts made whilst in Downing Street to feather his nest since leaving office. These all appear to be in breach of lobbying restrictions placed on former ministers.

Exactly. Just proves that Labour leaders have to be whiter than white otherwise there must be consequences. I suppose Rayner diddling 40k is equivalent to the VIP fast track Covid contract dole outs that have not been dealt with by Matt Hancock to his bar manager friend of 30 million and Lady Mone of 200 million all to no consequence.
Don't start me on the Royal family, Rees Mogg, Farage, Bunter, Sunak, Cameron, Zahawi, Aitken, Jenrick, Patel etc, etc with the standard tory stuff financial shenanigans they got and get up to.
