Thankfully we haven't got to play these pricks again for at least six months. Can't wait to see them taking 2 minutes over every throw and goal kick again.

Clearly a different proposition with Toney and that little rat fuck Maupay has somehow hit some form, but we have to go in with confidence.

2023/24: W 4-1 (A), D 1-1 (A, FAC), W 3-2 (H, FAC)
2022/23: W 2-0 (H), D 1-1 (A)
2021/22: L 0-2 (H), W 2-1 (A)
2017/18: W 3-0 (H), D 0-0 (A)
2016/17: W 3-1 (H), W 2-1 (A)
2015/16: L 0-2 (H), L 0-3 (A)
2014/15: W 2-1 (H), L 0-4 (A)
2013/14: D 0-0 (H), W 3-0 (A)
1992/93: L 1-2 (H), W 2-0 (A)

They've lost 7 of their last 8 league games and go Liverpool (H), Man City (A) and West Ham (A) after this one so not sure they can set up to spoil and hope for the best (though they probably will as that's what they do).

Assuming South Korea lose and he doesn't have to fly back there first, then Hwang will be at Compton on Thursday, bench on Saturday I'd have thought.

With Traore also back it should mean all our bench are genuine first teamers with a bit of a * next to Fraser

Toney has the potential to cause trouble and Maupay seems to be turning up in the right places now. Can't see us keeping a clean sheet so hopefully we can cause them a lot of problems with our attack. Hopefully we don't turn up over confident.

agreed. Gives us the option to change 2 of the front 3 if needed in the later stages.

Depends on his fitness. He only started the last two games for Korea, so if GON thinks he's up to speed with the preparation and match tactics in training then I'd have no problem starting him.

This is a game where gaz needs to get into the players heads. They'll have a bob on after chelsea, and having whipped bournemouth at their gaff, and then turfed them out of the cup, he has to make sure they don't expect a stroll.
Toney is back, and he will be a handfull so the defence will need to be on it, for the full 90 and more, and no one must react to bournemouths shithousing.

My weekly prediction of a defeat is nailed on if we are playing 2 teams on Saturday

Gaz presser:

- Hwang (or "Channy") and Traore both back, fit & available to start, if selected
- disappointed for Hwang that he wasn't able to help his country win the tournament but glad we get him back early
- Fully fit squad for tomorrow, few small issues during the week but everyone trained today
- cup game v Brentford was low tempo but expecting them to be more direct with Toney in the side, so need to be mindful of that

If we score tomorrow then we'll have a full year of scoring in every home game (last time we didn't was Bournemouth on 18 Feb 2023, and we don't play at home again until Sheff Utd on 25 Feb 2024)
Combined with TTs post get your money on 0-1.

Who was the Bournemouth manager for that one?
