I like Jacqui Oatley but I can't listen to Tim Speirs talk. Such a miserable bastard.

Other way round for me, Jacqui is just deadly dull. She should be on 80s Blue Peter.

Spiers has grown on me a lot over the last year or so. Their podcast has had some excellent guests.

3-5-2 for me would be a mistake, particularly as it’s just a cop out on the Donck/Moutinho decision.

We were good against Everton as the mindset was different, we looked to aggressive rather than passive, admittedly they made it easy for us to do this. 3-5-2 against Burnley will just make us passive which I think is a mistake. Take the game to to them, make them worry about us.

Absolute no to 3-5-2 from me. Same team as Sunday if Neto is fit, if not bring Jota on and Pod can take the free kicks.

Burnley are pretty incredible at defying xG, they've lost once in 13. Since the restart, one defeat in six.

Man City 2.71-0.03 Burnley (lost 5-0)
Burnley 0.96-0.50 Watford (won 1-0)
Crystal Palace 1.07-0.50 Burnley (won 1-0)
Burnley 1.32-1.62 Sheffield United (drew 1-1)
West Ham 2.00-1.05 Burnley (won 1-0)
Liverpool 2.16-0.45 Burnley (drew 1-1)

So they've outscored/created the opponent just once in those six but have 11 points since the restart :icon_lol: They've been extremely clinical recently too so can't even really afford to even give up a half-chance it feels like!

this is from https://understat.com/league/EPL,

I know Burnley are a tougher proposition to Everton (who saw that sentence coming 10 years ago?!) but we'd be mad to make any unnecessary changes after a great performance at the weekend, whether that's personnel, mentality or formation.

In the last 3 seasons their record against City including a couple of Cup games is: 0-3,1-4,1-1,0-5,0-5,0-1,1-4,0-5
We know that City move the ball around quicker and better than anyone else, that's clearly the way you break them down, although obviously easier said than done.

We should have done them 5-0 at home last season, wasted so many chances. Didn't Leo miss an open goal?

If we're at our best we'll win, we don't get bullied by teams. We do sometimes get dragged down to their level though, see Cardiff away last season.

They basically didn’t even bother against City, just gave up and gave them the win. Weird as against everyone else they fight really hard.

I’ll be pissed if we go 3-5-2.

That was such a weird game, we just hoofed it to Traore up front all game and got him to chase it.

Quite excited by the idea of us in a league game on BBC. Sad I know.

Because old people are stupid and can't deal with the news not being on at 6pm on BBC One despite EVERYONE WHO OWNS A TV being able to access BBC News which has the exact same programme at the exact same time, we're split over two channels.

The lack of Wimbledon this year means this phenomenon hasn't annoyed me as much as it generally does on an annual basis.

I can't be doing with the news ticker at the bottom of the screen and it doesn't have the local content after it either. I need a daily fix of the local news team in the almost empty Leicester city centre interviewing business owners that don't have customers. The Pantry closed for good yesterday and I'd never have known if I was on the BBC News channel. That being said, like most nights I'll give it a miss tonight and perhaps catch it at 10.30 if there's nothing else on.

Besides sport I don't really watch any TV live now. I have music on all day and anything else is on catchup services.

Sometimes I put Radio 2 on for Popmaster although the contestants annoy me. "Oh, I wouldn't have got that". You didn't get it, dickhead, there's no conditional about it.

The xG also shows there are very few chances either end in their games. I expect a dour game much like Sheffield but hopefully we’ll show more ambition and defend properly until the final whistle.
