Danny Batth

Love to see him doing well in pre season.
Maybe he'll be the kingpin in stopping Bray scoring 4 or 5...
Hope he gets a breakthrough game this season.

Where would you play him?

Christophe Berra having just 12 months left on his.

When Berra goes they are going to do a "As exclusively revealed by us" story aren't they (its been nearly 12 months since the "exclusively" told us Berra leaving was the only possible way that the club would be able to bring Roger Johnson in)

I love how they couldn't even find a pic of Danny...

"Batth politely declined the chance to talk to the media about what is expected to be his big evening tonight with Roger Johnson starting a three-match ban"

Well done that lad.

Hopefully he'll stay in the team for good after tonight, he played well.

Certainly didn't look like has was making his first start at this level

Apart from backing off too much for Nugent's goal.

To be fair to him, he was dealing with 2 players as our right back had been caught up high the pitch in an attack. He goes to Nugent, Dyer is in on goal, he holds back and Nugent is in.

Congrats Danny, got the chance to prove your worth against a top Championship side and was our best defender by far tonight.

Would like to see Batth and Margreitter play together while Johnson is suspended, Berra needs to be dropped.

True, but there was a point where he had held things up as much as he could and he should have closed Nugent down - if Nugent had put Dyer through, we have to hope Ikeme stops the shot.

But in rugby you have to go for the ball carrier, same in football. You position yourself in position to try and get to the other player but don't neglect the ball carrier.

I thought he did ok, looked quite heavy footed to me

Agreed, Berra is fucking shite.

But yes, he did ok. Looked clumsy but didnt makes many mistakes.

Berra was absolutely horrific and then some.

Just. Get him out and away from the club. Don't care how.
