General Wolves News

Not bricking it yet but you'd be a fool not to be alarmed at the similarity with previous fuck ups.

Make no mistake, the club deserve no benefit of the doubt and the only reason we're in the PL again is due to the manager

It doesn't worry me, I don't think Vitor is going to do a De Burgh, but quite clearly as it stands we need at least 4 new players.

I think I'd quite like the situation 'as it stands' to change as well. There's at least 4 or 5 squad players I'd like to be upgraded.

Everyone's saying it, it's going to have to be a huge Summer.

How did we get into relegation trouble twice in the first place, and how did we get out of it both times? #Goldfish
Both times they corrected the situation and we survived with comfort. Hopefully they have actually learned their lessons but panic away.

The comfortable gap to avoiding relegation was more down to the terrible state of the bottom 3.
42 points means you won’t be far off it if the 1 of the bottom 3 get things right.
Counter in the fact that we’ve lost key players it will be a matter of time before we come undone.

Loads of players here who I don't like very much

Johnstone
Bentley
King
Doherty
Djiga
S Bueno
Hoever
H Bueno
Doyle
Hodge
Guedes
Chiquinho
Hwang
Fabio

Then borderline cases like Sa, Bellegarde, Munetsi and Traoré

Evidence suggests they’ve not learnt as they’ve made the same mistake twice.
The first time they got very lucky with the World cup Reset also.

I recall Everton fans saying a similar thing.
Worrying about next season when we've only just finished the last one is par for the course with some folks I guess.
Have at it.

I’m not sure what the point is here, if you’re comparing us to Everton then we’ve got every right to worry. Club that’s been a basket case for a while.

Agree with that list bar Sa. I'd keep him and I'm hoping Munetsi will come good after a pre-season. He gets into some great positions. Bellegarde is very 50:50 for me. Thankfully he's had some good games after lots of woeful ones.

Who's 'they'? It certainly wasn't down to senior management at the club that we survived both times. They sacked both managers later than they should and our arse was saved both times by experienced managers coming in.

If anything, the Vitor interview seems to be pointing away from any lessons being learned. You'd have to be stupid or a troll not to acknowledge that

The point is that fans of virtually every club believe gloom and doom is around the corner. Everton sold Richarlison and their fans believed that was automatic relegation. The point is that is never really the case. If you go down, you go down. The club still exists and can bounce back. We've been all the way down the leagues for fuck sake and now we've been established in the Prem for 8 seasons,. It's all relative I suppose. Some people are only happy with negativity. Sure we've had fuck ups but we are still in the Prem. We can all see the danger signs but all we can do is enjoy (or not) the ride.
