General Wolves News

I'm not quite sure which one was more horrible to live through, Lage or O'Neil.
From the Brentford fiasco onwards it has to be GO. That was the day it became clear that we were going to be relegated if he stayed. When he survived Everton I genuinely thought Fosun had opted to asset strip the club rather than try to compete in the PL.

Lage, by a distance

He still had all of these at his disposal

Boly
Coady
Saiss
Jonny
Neves
Moutinho
Adama
Raul

And produced some of the worst football I have ever seen, and he's a massive, massive, massive fucking cunt

He speaks well of you also... ;)

Plus the Nuno wounds were still raw.

I don't think I was ever quite as angry at Lage as I was at O'Neil after Everton, West Ham & Ipswich though.
Yup, that Everton game will take some beating for sure. Criminal.

Of course the world won’t end if we get relegated but surely we should be doing everything we can to avoid it. I’m not advocating spending way beyond our means, just learning from past experience and providing a good manger with the players he needs. Much better to do that in the summer than end up in a desperate situation in January.
No disagreement here. It is still June 22nd though.

That Everton game was probably the angriest I've been inside a stadium. When I saw his post match comments on the way back to Liverpool city center I was absolutely fizzing.
I'll never top Bristol City at home under Saunders. We somehow won. Absolutely abysmal stuff. The only game I've ever watched where both teams deserved to lose.

Was already borderline frothing at the mouth coming home, log on to the PC and he's lauding it as if we've beaten Real Madrid in the Bernabeu.

I think the roar of anger is still echoing around the Earth somewhere.

I remember logging on here after the first game against Blackburn and just being in a state of shock at some of the positivity. Took me a good while to regain my composure.

That thread is still around I'm sure.

Bombing it into the channels for Jake Cassidy to chase and people saying it was good.

He brought fucking Zubar back for that game as well. He hadn't played for months, I thought we'd got rid of the pissed horse but no, there he is playing everyone 20 yards onside again.

To be fair it was off the back of games where we managed to make zero scoring chances. We created and scored, however basic it was, it was like Christmas had come late.

It was also before the off button on Saunders broke.

Oh he'd already annoyed me by then.

Banging on about the Army like Gareth fucking Keenan.

God that was a grim time to support Wolves. The final day when he was playing a one legged Bakary Sako and waffling on about having spies at the other grounds was the worst.

Oh my God. That bit about having "watchers" at other games.

1) Do you realise it's not 1986 and there are other means of finding out what the score is elsewhere
2) And more crucially, WE NEED TO WIN YOU FUCKING MELTED SPRINGSTEEN ARSEHOLE. Literally nothing else matters. If we don't win then we are down, forget everyone else

Grim, grim, grim stuff.

What was it he said about throwing his wife's dinner up the wall? Fucking idiot.

That was one of those where he started off with a reasonable enough point - players need to prepare themselves properly (and quite obviously some of ours weren't). But he can't leave it there can he. He has to go off one where he essentially portrays himself as Trevor to Little Mo in Eastenders.

See also saying that he could open the batting for England but he'd have to say no as soon as he hit the boundary edge, but also that's not the same as people on the X Factor.

I'm a much more mellow chap these days than I was in my 20s but I was absolutely boiling at Lage after Leeds at home.

Long ball to pencil necked geek Trincao and 4'3'' Daniel Podence. You FUCKING moron.
That Everton defeat though...they hadn't scored for 4 years and then we concede 4 to them.

Christ, that's probably our worst performance and result in a game that matters in the Prem.

I've looked up our team against Huddersfield under Saunders. There's so much to pick through.

-------------------------De Vries-------------------------------

Doherty---------Johnson--------Gorkss------------Robinson

Hunt------------Henry----------O'Hara------------Ward

Cardiff was by far his worst starting line up for so many reasons.

Ikeme

Gorkss Batth Johnson

Doherty Doumbia Henry O'Hara Robinson

Sako Sigurdarson
