General Wolves News

The point is that fans of virtually every club believe gloom and doom is around the corner. Everton sold Richarlison and their fans believed that was automatic relegation. The point is that is never really the case. If you go down, you go down. The club still exists and can bounce back. We've been all the way down the leagues for fuck sake and now we've been established in the Prem for 8 seasons,. It's all relative I suppose. Some people are only happy with negativity. Sure we've had fuck ups but we are still in the Prem. We can all see the danger signs but all we can do is enjoy (or not) the ride.

Change the record FFS

You’ve gone off on a tangent a bit no one is worrying about the club going into free fall.
However I think it’s very reasonable to be concerned about us losing our PL status which we all know has been a nightmare to get back to after previous relegations

It's an odd argument, we're mostly old bastards here, all bar one of my first 20 years watching Wolves was seeing us in the second or third tier, there isn't any entitlement.

It's because I know the PL is the only place to be if you want to watch a good Wolves team that I fundamentally reject the concept of the owners steering us into the Championship (or lower, you never know, we've done it before) through sheer negligence, complacency and stupidity, all while charging top 6 prices for the privilege of watching it.

Fine. Have at it. I'm more concerned with how England are batting right now.

In principle, I agree. However, it is football and just like life, shit happens. After everything we've been through, I just find it easier to enjoy the ride for better or worse. None of us can change how the club is run so what's the point of constant negativity and worry about what might happen?

Since 2016, we've become established in the Prem. Some high high moments and some lows. We are still here though.

I haven't really enjoyed much of watching us for the last five years now. We've been largely rubbish.

We don't need to be.

The 8.15 from Manchester was massively underrated and I’m sure Tony would have been well up for it. Maybe it’s the purposely contrary positions for the sake of it on many topics that has put him off 🙁.

I’ll remember the ah well shit happens the next time I hear of redundancies being made.

Under GoN for the calendar year 2024 how many league home wins were there?

5??

It was a pretty miserable experience!!

I'm not quite sure which one was more horrible to live through, Lage or O'Neil.

Lage, by a distance

He still had all of these at his disposal

Boly
Coady
Saiss
Jonny
Neves
Moutinho
Adama
Raul

And produced some of the worst football I have ever seen, and he's a massive, massive, massive fucking cunt

Getting rid of Boly, Saiss and Coady in one window and thinking Collins and Kilman would work he should be clubbed around the head.

Plus the Nuno wounds were still raw.

I don't think I was ever quite as angry at Lage as I was at O'Neil after Everton, West Ham & Ipswich though.

Of course the world won’t end if we get relegated but surely we should be doing everything we can to avoid it. I’m not advocating spending way beyond our means, just learning from past experience and providing a good manger with the players he needs. Much better to do that in the summer than end up in a desperate situation in January.

I'm a much more mellow chap these days than I was in my 20s but I was absolutely boiling at Lage after Leeds at home.

Long ball to pencil necked geek Trincao and 4'3'' Daniel Podence. You FUCKING moron.

Yeah but he won every game where he had a striker...
