The point is that is never really the case. If you go down, you go down. The club still exists and can bounce back. We've been all the way down the leagues for fuck sake and now we've been established in the Prem for 8 seasons,. It's all relative I suppose. Some people are only happy with negativity. Sure we've had fuck ups but we are still in the Prem. We can all see the danger signs but all we can do is enjoy (or not) the ride.

It's an odd argument, we're mostly old bastards here, all bar one of my first 20 years watching Wolves was seeing us in the second or third tier, there isn't any entitlement.

It's because I know the PL is the only place to be if you want to watch a good Wolves team that I fundamentally reject the concept of the owners steering us into the Championship (or lower, you never know, we've done it before) through sheer negligence, complacency and stupidity, all while charging top 6 prices for the privilege of watching it.

I don't think I was ever quite as angry at Lage as I was at O'Neil after Everton, West Ham & Ipswich though.

Of course the world won’t end if we get relegated but surely we should be doing everything we can to avoid it. I’m not advocating spending way beyond our means, just learning from past experience and providing a good manger with the players he needs. Much better to do that in the summer than end up in a desperate situation in January.
