General Wolves News

There's a weird black hole of non-highlights between around 2010 and 2013. Clubs were fiercely protective of their own shitty subscriber only packages and wouldn't release anything. So there are no videos of that game that I can find.

But I'm pretty sure Ikeme made an absolute rick for one of the goals, would you believe.

The absolute fucking state of this interview afterwards:

"There were a lot of positives to take out of the game but we made two catastrophic mistakes.

"We conceded a goal from a long throw and to make matters worse I had walked the players through that before the game and shown them on the DVD.

"It was one of those goals that keeps you awake as a manager.

"Then we conceded from another mistake. Carl Ikeme will be the first to hold his hands up because nine times out of 10 he usually comes and catches that.

"But we managed to reply straight away and then Sylvan misses an open goal for two-all."

1) No, there weren't.

2) Oh, a DVD you say? Well, it should all be sorted then.

3) I'd say coming into a struggling club and making the situation 5,000% worse should have kept you awake more.

4) Throw a player under the bus.

5) Throw a player under the bus.

What a fucking wanker he really was. To think our local media never picked him up on this nonsense until after he went, cowardly.

I personally think Saunders gets a raw deal. Too many people sit on the fence and aren't clear enough about what a fucking low life scumbag he is.
I have been frustrated by aspects of other managers, but he is the only one I have actively disliked. No, I'll say it, hated. I absolutely resented his appointment.

The only time I've genuinly screamed out loud and punched the air when wolves have sacked a manager

I know we've been here before but I hate Hoddle more and always will.
Didn't care
Players chronically out of position
Darren Anderton
Possession for possessions sake
Wolves 1 Opposition 1
Gives his brother a new contract before resigning
Doesn't go until 2 months after the end of the season despite Moxey's (extremely misguided ) support
Resigned just before an England WC 1/4 final to bury the news
The only time I've given my season ticket up for none financial or travelling reasons

Don't disagree with a word said about Saunders, but at least he cared.

Saunders is the only time I've voluntarily stopped going. Don't piss in my pocket and tell me it's raining.

Hoddle was awful though, if it were purely based on football then I may well have stopped then too.

Yup, although Saunders was a bad appointment and a bad manager - he doesn't compare to Hoddle who nearly drove me away from supporting Wolves. Had he not left when he did, I would have. Mick had is detractors but he reignited a passion in the club that Hoddle had sucked out of us. I wanted Saunders to succeed, I didn't care if Hoddle did.

Who was it that said the other week that Nuno thinks he's doing us a favour by being here? Doesn't really matter.

Hoddle really did give the air of a bloke who felt Wolves were beneath him and that he was doing us a favour by being here.

Hoddle is England's great lost manager, you know.

The only genuinely good team he had was when he was playing himself and was the best player by a mile.

Not sure the disabled would agree there.

I'd settle for both of them being classed as sub-human scum.

How can you dislike Walt!? Not his fault we gave him a job he was wildly unqualified for with an awful track record as well.

Because he touches up barmaids. How many Wolves managers do you know who get barred from pubs? I know one.

Plus any man over 50 wearing ripped jeans is not to be trusted.

In order of hate:

Saunders
Hoddle
McGhee
Jones
Zenga
Lambert
Lee
Taylor
Jackett
Turner
McCarthy
Nuno

I didn't actually dislike any of the ones below Lambert.
I wish I could forget the Solbakken half season as well! He'd be above Jones but below McGhee for me. In order Hoddle, Docherty, Saunders would be my 1,2,3.

2 of your worst 5 managers of the last 45 years in the same season is some accomplishment

Oops, sorry Ståle!

I didn't hate him either. Put him below Lambo.
