Is Vitor Pereira A Good Manager Or Should He Go?

If we go another four games without a win not only how can Vitor keep his job, how the fuck does the bloke who sanctioned Vitor a three year deal keep his bastard job.

He will go when we go down. As Fosun don't know football and can only think in a binary fashion.

Yes, Vítor should be sacked. But the problem is also much bigger than Vitor Pereira. Jeff Shi needs to go. Fosun needs to go. Vítor needs to go. Many of the players need to go.

We’re a shambles.

He seems like a nice chap, but I’ve been really starting to lose patience with him for a good few weeks. We’ve been told continually to give him time. “This is unfair”, “that is unfair” - whoever made the comparison to a shit 90’s Wimbledon (possibly @Deutsch Wolf?) was absolutely spot on.

I’d have him gone tonight, but there’s no one keeping this squad up, and the bigger issue in Fosun/Shi are still here regardless.

Absolute shitfest.

So at this point that’s the only route out of this as I see it. Go down, Fosun replace him or better still sell us (not likely?) and we go from there.

I’m done with this perpetual cycle of getting into trouble and somehow Shi fluking his way out of it. This isn’t going to go down well but I’m not sure us somehow surviving this season is in the long term interests of the club anymore. Such a mess.

If Shi believes we can stay up he must know that it won’t be with VP in charge. His dilemma, is that if he sacks him now even a new manager has a very slim chance of keeping us up. Said manager is likely to be tainted by relegation so if (when) we go down do you stick with them or start again.

The big difference to Lop and GO keeping us up is that they had some talented players. Currently we have a squad of extremely limited talent and there’s certainly no Neto or Cunha, so the escape trick isn’t going to work this time round. By January we’ll be about as attractive as a warm pint of lager to the kind of player that could make a difference and consequently I’m beyond caring, it’s just different levels of shit whatever happens.

“one mistake”. He’s talking Lage levels of shit at this point.
Such a bizarre argument anyway. Basically means you can’t drop anyone as it might hurt their feelings? Plus what does it say to the players he’s keeping out who can’t get a look in despite their rival being useless.

Doesn’t promote squad harmony if you’re sitting there wondering what you’ve got to do to get a start.

He’s lost it I’m afraid I’ve broken down his winning record last season into fine detail and it doesn’t actually look anything special.
Team selections look like a tombola draw at times, in game decisions are to late and reactive.
If he sees out the season we genuinely won’t make 20 points probably about 15, if someone better comes in they probably get us to about 25 points.
We’re going down but it’s just a case of how badly.
Pre season was an absolute disgrace for a PL club, just 4 games in front of live crowds. Last minute.com for a lot of incomings, I think both fullbacks were 3rd or 4th choice on the list.
I’ve not held back on my concerns throughout the summer, this start to the season has been a disaster. The very worst we should be on at least 3 points.
Now list 8/9 PL games it was 7/8 when he got his new contract.
The club is treating the first team like an under 9’s team where results aren’t to important but bonding and team building is.
Constantly flipping formations and selections with zero pattern to who he picks.
I’m not xenophobic but would like more than just 1 English player in the squad, the detachment from the squad is huge just feels like you’re watching a bunch of free loaders or those using us as stepping stones.

Getting that new contract has put VP in a strong position. Jeff won`t get rid yet. Saving face is the Chinese way. He needs to go now, he won`t.

Unbelievably we spent £10m Wolfe who is now third choice behind two players who were already here. On a par with Djiga when it comes to flushing money down the toilet

Yep understand the balance? How long do you need? Basically saying I ain’t got a fucking clue.
Said it numerous times the PL is cut throat as is most professional top level sport.
Best players deal with being dropped or adversity by proving people wrong.
If Agbadou decides to feel sorry for himself then sorry the PL ain’t for you.
Welcome to the real world.

Just took the dog for a walk and had TalkSport on. They were absolutely rinsing us. Fosun have turned us into a laughing stock. None of them could believe he’s been given a new contract and said our team is “awful”.

Giving him a new deal after our awful start and then having us follow it with that performance, must put it as one of the stupidest thing this club has done in recent times. And we've done some pretty damn stupid things since we got rid of Nuno.

I just don’t get the logic at any level, if it was in July it would make a little more sense due to how he kept us up, even then I wouldn’t advocate the idea.
I thought they’d learnt the lesson of wait and watch the situation instead of jumping into a big contract.
Now becomes a vanity project where they desperately hope he turns it around.

I fucking hate Talksport but I can't find an answer to disagree with any of that.
