Keir Starmer at it again..

If enough traditional Labour voters switch to the Green Party it isn't wasted. Unlikely, I know, but that shift has to start somewhere. I won't vote Labour again, Green is my only choice.
Enough people switched to UKIP/Reform over the last 10-15 years for them to be taken seriously. The same can happen with the Greens.

I don't think many 'traditional Labour voters' would be too keen on dismantling our entire nuclear deterrent

I like a lot of it, but again how do you pay for it?

Also, I think the Green's would be even worse than Corbyn's Labour at side-stepping 'lefty' media traps, and they'd be painted as anti-business before they even got a sniff at no.10.

We just don't have an electorate that wouldn't be put off by that

I agree. But this all applies (in reverse) to Reform/UKIP but they've managed to become an important part of UK politics.

The same could happen with the Greens.

Farage has managed this for years. His supporters lap it up.
Agreed, but it's always a derivative of the same single issue that appeals to a certain band of people. It's why I do t think we'll have a Farage lead government that isn't a Tory combo

I don't think it does apply though, unfortunately.

A lot of what Reform/UKIP do is legitimised as just 'very conservative/patriotic', whereas the media and sections of the electorate freak out more at 'lefty/woke' stuff

I agree regarding the media, and the Greens wouldn't get the same weight behind them.

The Green's would need to push an anti facsict/racism line and really go at it, not sure they'd have the stomach for that though as it'd get pretty horrible.

It's a tough one; they're a party that has an opportunity to present a really positive offer, so getting dragged into culture wars stuff can easily take up all your messaging

I mean, both of Corbyn's manifestos were fully 'costed' 🙄 but many have been gaslit into thinking govts can't do anything. I've even seen people on here argue in favour of having their own state pension cut.😂

Reform look to have won the Runcorn seat by 4 votes.

Recount underway

Should be a wake up call for the many who don't think Reform have a chance of winning the next election. The country is heading down a hardline right wing route and these c***s will likely be in power in four years time.
4 days is a long time , 4 years is an eternity . Reform will make plenty of mistakes between now and then . They don't have the party structure or discipline that is needed to make it happen .

Labours election win was completely built on sand, and the tides been coming in since the day they won.

And labour have another four years of continuing to do what they're doing, which is going really well so far...
