Keir Starmer at it again..

"But ever since my husband’s last promotion tipped his salary over £100k, our disposable income has plummeted."

That's ....that's not how to works. The income won't go down, it just goes up slower.

What an awful, factually inaccurate piece

Private school just makes no sense at these prices, particularly if you’ve got 3 kids! That’s just an insane amount of money and you need to be seriously rich to pay it. £10k a year minimum per child for 14 years, crazy money.

I think this is also why there are a fair few new cars about too because people are SS to get them
Sal Sac is huge and growing. The top execs know how to play the game with the tax savings.

Although if you read around now, the latest for the thick fuckers is the high amount of new cars on the road is due to everyone who gets a benefit due to a disability, well they all get brand new cars via motorbility. Top of the range cars given to them all for free.

Hubbies having an affair and blaming the HMRC me thinks

Unless I'm missing something in the detail behind the headline, stopping giving Visas for foreign born care workers is not the response to the rise of Reform the country needs. It'll just leave an even bigger shortage in the sector
Only people from Lincolnshire are allowed to apply for care home jobs now. Promises made, promises kept.

More Reform-lite crap that will do nothing positive and achieve even less.

They need to offer something different or fuck off altogether. This won't sway anyone who's already going to vote reform to do anything other than still vote Reform.

I think that's the case with the traditional Tory vote, I think the Labour one can be won back and probably needs to be in the next 4 years. This isn't the policy though it needs to be around channel crossings in a meaningful way, not a stunt like Rwanda. The numbers are relatively low in the grand scheme of overall immigration, but that's the lightning rod

Damned if you do and damned if you don’t. People are moaning that meaningful change hasn’t happened yet so you end up with the publicity stunts like this nonsense.

Labour continue to disappoint. What are they thinking?
Multiple decades of Conservative misrule has:

* reinforced the royal family, aristocracy, landowners, the establishment, billionaires, MSM and the public schools
* made policies and laws that look after and lock in their own
* reduced the state and local government
* become more and more beholden to the rogues gallery in The City and in the tax havens that took us out of the EU
* put placemen and women in multiple key roles

Starmer and Labour will not be in a position to do anything necessary until there's been corresponding decades of Labour government and the undoing of this wretched state of affairs in the UK. All they are permitted to do at the moment is move along with some kind of middle of the right side of the road governance for the vested and ingrained interest groups mentioned above.

Without giving an opinion on the policies, the 3 most high profile to date are:
Taxes on farms
Removing winter fuel payments
Putting VAT on public schools

All are a choice and nothing to do with the above as is the carers announcement today - in fact at least one contradicts it.
No doubt they are hamstrung by infrastructure and funding issues, but your post gives too much of a free pass.

Free pass? I respectfully suggest you study how the country is controlled by the permanent and growing vested interests and not by temporary government actors who are extremely limited in their real power.
Edit. Am I misunderstanding as it is late or are you suggesting that putting VAT on public schools is not influenced by decades of Conservative support of The City, the establishment, public schools and policies and laws that look after and lock in Tory control of the country?

Care homes charge colossal amounts of money to care for residents. If they paid a decent wage to the care workers, then they would attract more local workers.

If they stopped getting literal tax breaks for importing workers it'd be a start. But yes, basically if you improved the pay you wouldn't need to look abroad

Its all interconnected though, isnt it?

Care hopes pay better wages, so the fees go up, so less people can afford it, so the burden on the NHS increases.

The answer, obviously, is to raise taxes. But thats become political suicide by generations of cunts promising that we can have better public services while cutting taxes.

At some point we'll need a politician with the willingness and credibility to make that argument.

Fair point.
We also need to recognise that many of these 'care' homes just like school academies and nurseries exist to make ridiculous profits ie salaries for the owners, trust and board members.
