New thread time.

Man City beat Roma on penalties earlier in this weird pre-season tournament that takes nearly a month to finish. Not a bad game for a friendly, Joe Hart stuck away a corker of a penalty and saved two to win it for City.

With the way the fixtures fall, Chelsea are going to have to fly back from North America to play the Charity Shield, then fly back to play their last game vs Fiorentina in this tournament, then fly back for their season opener vs Swansea.

The "tournament" format is just an excuse to make it seem like it matters.

The game v Fiorentina is being played in London.

Ashley Cole with a lovely assist for City's second goal. Sums up his time in a Roma shirt, he's looked like a pub player.

Ah, makes more sense. It still said "North America" on Sky's website the other day when I looked.

Indeed, he's been dreadful.

Not that I mind, never wanted him there in the first place.

Yeah, Warburton has really transformed their team in a very short space of time. They should walk the league this year, that back 4 + keeper in particular looks outstanding for that level.

They must be in with a shout of a record points total for that division.

Strong team for West Ham tonight:

WHUFC starting XI: Adrian (GK), O'Brien, Tomkins, Collins, Cresswell, Kouyate, Noble, Nolan, Jarvis, Amalfitano, Zarate
subs: Randolph (GK), Hendrie, Pike, Poyet, Samuelsen, Maiga

Jesus, never thought I'd see Modibo make a West Ham 18 again.

He started the last game Alan!

Some team called Debrecen beat some team called Skonto Riga 9-2 today in Europa League qualifying! Quite the shock after the first leg drew 2-2.

Isn't Debrecen where we got Denes Rosa from?

No idea, he was before my time.

EDIT: Looks like Rosa came over from Ferencvárosi TC.

Birkirkara now done to ten as well!

Embarassing.

Nice start to 2.Liga by Nürnberg. 12 minutes in, two penalties conceded, 3-0 down to Freiburg.

Nils Petersen hat trick, got to be the quickest ever in a season.
