Live Match Discussion 2024/25

I reckon they could have got this crowd for the Chelsea v LAFC game down at the Cottage in Wednesfield with room to spare.
At least they put grass down in Atlanta rather than that plastic shite they play on in MLS.

2pm local time on a Monday is a ridiculous kickoff time if you want butts in seats.

Mid-day kick off in Orlando for Benfica v Auckland. Should be fun in 95 degree heat that feels like 102 real feel.

Ruben has scored front the spot against Real. Soft as absolute shite penalties decision though.

The amount of very good footballers (and manager) pissing their careers away for Al Hilal is very depressing to see.

I went to the game in Orlando last night and it was decent enough. What wasn't was the shit show organised by FIFA trying to get my media credentials worked out. I was going to Miami today but decided this morning I wasn't going as I didn't need the drive there and back plus 3 hours in the 95 degree heat pitch side. I'd have loved to see Ruben again but I'm too old for dealing with the shite they want to put us through. Al Hilal look a very decent side and move the ball very nicely. Can see them turning Real over at this rate.

The fix is in... VAR review and Real get a penalty in the last minute. Ruben gets a yellow card for telling the ref what he thinks of it.

Finishes 1-1 ...good game...enjoyed it. Huge effort from all the players in that heat.

Ninth best eligible team according to four years of UEFA rankings

Apparently.

Crock of shit springs to mind

The RB part of their name is a big indicator.
I know my question was more rhetorical, as said it’s a manufactured turd fest.
Already had games with crowds of 3 & 5k.
just a cherry picked competition, it’s like watching a bad game of monopoly

I haven’t watched a minute of it. Has it been as bad as I keep reading?

Apparently that's because they're the last four Libertadores winners (in the qualifying period) then the two Argentine giants (conveniently) are the top ranked Conmebol sides.

there’s 4 Brazilian sides in it
Those were the rules for UEFA. Don’t know about other associations. Jack has explained Conmebol. As a guess the Uruguayan and Colombian top flights aren’t the best so they never win anything and FIFA wouldn’t want them there anyway.
