Live Match Discussion 2024/25

Yeah, they’ve got lucky this season, can’t see them being in the European mix next season.

Totally agree. Sels and Wood have been at the top of their game, this season and Nuno has the squad well organised and motivated but top ten more so than top six IMO

I find this a bit bizarre. We’ve played 35 games and they’re sixth, so they’re sixth best. There’s no luck about it. Maybe they finish seventh, at which point they’ll be a top 7 side - IMO. Hardly an undeserved position, pretty sure their manager has a track record of doing the same thing with some other team, before they went for an upgrade.

Neves, Jota, Jimenez, Moutinho, Jonny, etc, he does have a track record but it didn’t contain the likes of Ryan Yates.

Their position in the league is merited no doubt however Forest fans claims that this is a return to normality is very far fetched.
Do it again next season then possibly even then it can fall away very quickly.

Forest have done very well this season but I agree with @ROVERT47 that they’re unlikely to repeat it next season Their run up the league coincided with Wood taking a ridiculously high percentage of chances much like we had a good spell last season when Hwang was in a purple patch. On the basis of what we’d seen before nobody expected Hwang to repeat that and there’s little to suggest Wood will either.

Best away day ever
Haha. Yeah, I can believe it especially for those who were lucky enough to be there. I guess some would say the two penalties at the end of the Cardiff game was up there too. More recently, I guess that Besiktas, Braga or Torino might be up there.
It's an awfully long time ago but for my generation the famous Newcastle away trip when Bully scored 4 and there was the airlift was probably the best.
I guess an even earlier generation might claim the UEFA Cup QF against Juventus?

Nuno did it two years running before so why not again? The trick is not to appoint Bruno Lage when you get bored of being really quite good and then play play six up front in response to going behind.

Fun game again... 2-0 currently to Inter but we've seen this story before...

It’s penalty at no point does he win the ball just slides into Martinez feet which causes the ball to move in that direction.
