Thank God for the edit button, eh?

Bless you 🤣🤣🤣

I’m still waiting to hear in which match this season so far he’s come out on top. Unless I missed it in and amongst the insults… again.
If you want to wait for a Wolves midfielder to come out on top against Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimarães & Tijani Reijnders you might be waiting a while.

Maybe you could get to a game and support your club while you're waiting.

João has come out on top in many moments. I saw it with my own eyes yesterday.

Is it really terrible that Reijnders or Tonali (world class midfielders) maybe played better than him over 90 minutes.

But no, you call him a Sunday league or parks player. Which is fucking disrespectful.

If anyone else agrees with that I’ll cut off my cock.

Aaaaand there we go.

I think we can all see what’s going on here. You have yourself a lovely evening 😘

No.

He was made to look like a Sunday league player against Reijnders. Scott & Tavernier ran him & Andre ragged v Bournemouth. Garner was quality against us v Everton & Dewsbury-Hall got a goal and for large spells had the run of Molineux. Yesterday Tonali again made him look like a park player.

Gomes covers a lot of ground and cannot be accused of not trying, so he gets a pass - but he *has* lost every individual battle this season so far. We’ve lost the midfield battle in every game, so it’s not all on him.
This is hyperbolic nonsense. Of course hes won some battles, won some yesterday for a start. Not at his best of course, doesn't help him and Andre are 'fire fighting' most games as the defence have been appalling and the attack don't hold the ball for more than 2 passes.

Yes, of course he’s come out on top in specific moments in each match. He hasn’t lost every tackle all season, has he? No one has said that šŸ˜‚

The point being made is he’s come out second best in the overall midfield battle, along with Andre, in each game (across the whole 90 mins) that we’ve played this season. As no one appears to be able to name a match where that isn’t the case, I can only assume that I’m correct and the ā€œladsā€ on here just fancy an argument on a Sunday night.

I agree with your points about why Gomes & Andre have struggled and have said as much myself.

Well from the game i watched yesterday, albeit on tv, (as the train fares from here are a bit steep) it's not all woe is me, doom and gloom.
Mr T, was quite impressive for a first time out, won a lot of balls against Burn and Schar, and laid it off well.
Rodrigo was excellent and a tad unlucky.
There's no point talking about Hwang, and he had over half the goal to aim at in his solo effort at goal.
Krejic was excellent and seemed to be a natural captain
Hugo was excellent going forward, and again wanting in defence, always well off his man who was a nippy winger.
I'm not a bellegarde hater, but munetsi is just a willing runner with a minimal amount of bullets in his technical armoury.
Arias is good (as shown in club world cup) but doesn't seem to have had a summer break, and thus is well off his 'A' game at the moment. As is tschoutschou.
Joao and andre are right off it at the mo, as is aggbadoo who should see some bench time pretty soon.
toti is toti, but Mosquera as soon as he's fully fit will make a difference.
Perez is ready now, and the one major signing they missed this summer, was a goalkeeper.
I haven't given up yet.
