We really should have had this thread ages ago. Which non league team do you look out for?

For me it is Lincoln City and Nuneaton Town.

The Red Imps have made a good start, but the "Boro" as they will always be known are struggling. Having checked I believe there are seven former football league teams in the National League North. That division is so competitive, but there again most non league divisions are like that.

I counted five Frank but you may be correct.

Tamworth have and always will be my non league side.

Stafford Rangers & Hednesford Town.

Also Salford. Mainly because of Gary Neville and their mental managers.

If we're counting continuation clubs then the ex-Football League clubs in Conference North are:

Darlington
Kidderminster
Halifax
Stockport
Gainsborough
Boston
Bradford Park Avenue

I have a look out for Kidderminster, Telford and Stockport.

Stourbridge.

My 2nd team - always enjoy going to watch them and they've had a good few years. Would be great to see them make the play offs this season after being so close last time. Bloody Salford!

I got 7 if you include phoenix clubs. Boston, Darlington, Kidderminster, Bradford PA, Stockport, Halifax and Gainsborough.

Boston United
Gainsborough Trinity.

Though it is many moons since Bradford and Gainsborough graced the Football league.

Hednesford Town for me. Probably go to about 7/8 games a season

Woking is my team as went there weekly in the 1980's & 90's when I couldn't afford time or money to come up to Wolverhampton (& still try to fit in a couple of games each season as have relatives in the area)

Struggling this year, though as a semi pro team in what is effectively a fully pro league that's not surprising.

What affects this most is who you can get on loan from league sides higher up the pyramid, though after a few decent years the current manager (Gary Hill) may be out of time.

I still think that Stourbridge Standard were the first opponents of St Lukes, but I just cannot find definitive proof. Anyway that is for another thread.

Yeah I remember us talking about that. Interesting stuff!

I must try and get to a Glassboys game soon. Such a good occasion. Drinking a pint of Golden Glow on the terrace is ace, as is being able to leave my house 15 minutes before kick off and not miss any of the match!

It was Gainsborough and Boston I didn't count. Boston were quite recent too!

AFC Wulfrunians, try to get down to a few games a season, haven't managed to get down this season yet

I used to go to Hinckley when I was free, but since the silly spat between the two Hinckley teams, I rarely go.

Darlington, Corby Town and Kettering

Always used to play Rushden and Diamonds on FM. But now they gone bust

They have an AFC version who have just been promoted to the Evo Stik Div 1 South (same level as Chasetown)

Check if you still have the programme?
