Non League Football.

Went to Mickleover v Ashton. Ashton 3-0 up and just scored a lovely side foot flick through the legs and the linesman decides he can't see the other side of the pitch. I was stood right behind him, it was no worse than at any other point of the game. No dog in the fight, but a joke of a decision, Ashton went ballistic

People won't get off the pitch for an air ambulance to land for a medical emergency

4701 a record attendance at Keys Park - including me at Hednesford today for their 2-0 play off win against Congleton.

Considering the heights they got to in the Conference that is some going to get a record attendance at that level.

Hednesford and Rushall both in the NPL. Good they have each other for a derby game, but miss out on a lot of other Midlands games by not being in the Southern Prem Central

It's quite tough in that league, especially when you are one of the most southern teams.

Both Basford & Mickleover were relegated from it this season. Basford will be in the NPL Midlands next season it seems.

Sime strange ones there. Lichfield in Midland, but Chasetown in the North and the likes of the sides you mention also in the Midlands when clearly more Northern than Chasetown

This has been going on for some time, this being an extreme example. Imo they need to reconstitute the league and create a Midlands division with 24 clubs coming from the variations of the Northern, Isthmian and Southern Prems. You've got 8 leagues there so 3 extra going up in 1 season is easy to facilitate.

Top of Conference North, South and Midlands then each go up with some form of play off for the 4th place.

You can't (I don't think) they're round trips.
I think Charlotte’s shortest roundtrip, if on a bus and no traffic, would be Atlanta and back, ~11.5-12hrs.

But who’s competing, right? 😉

Some trips take longer than you'd think they would just because of the type of roads we have.

One of the reasons you don't get many people from North Wales actually going to Wales games (in Cardiff) is the nightmare it is driving down the length of Wales. By train you can't realistically do it without heading into England either.

Wrexham are hoping to host some games when their ground is improved.

Think driving is probably quicker via England too if you were doing say Bangor to Cardiff.

Nah, it's because they hate the south of their country and think they have let the English in. Fook going down that way.

Well they did when I lived in the area.

My first week I got told to watch Wrexham v Cardiff in some shitty Cup the BBC were showing "see a proper rivalry...we hate the southern twats and the atmosphere will be vile"

Watched it and the crowd was amazing, but that's because i think there were more people in my house at the time (3). The atmosphere was very much one of "the fuck am I doing here" (at both the ground and my home)

Travelling east to west in the uk isn’t much fun and vice versa unless you’re on the M4 corridor.

Yep I’m working next door to Bedford Town ground today and it was an hour and 50 minute southward treck, just should not be playing the likes of Fylde or Darlington with the budget they’ve got.
