Will you renew?

And as we've discussed:

A) it's stupidly short sighted
B) it's going to be very damaging in the long term
C) no-one above Jeff Shi gives a shit
D) Jeff Shi would think he was right if he told you it was Christmas Day tomorrow

Wonder what will happen next year. He’s already promised to freeze the prices so will be no surprises there. FOMO has gone away but the feel good factor is back so I reckon uptake is going to be pretty high. Further vindicating Jeff!

Who knows, maybe he won't be a coward this time and actually say how many STs we've sold.

And I agreed with you.

But the point remains, ticket revenue will have gone up this season.

Although I think if we are in the top 10 next season, numbers will rise again.

I think if you are an adult that renewed last season then you'll continue to do so until personal/financial circumstances dictate otherwise. You've got money to burn if you become a member though.

EP is correct those attendances will be seen as a success 1500 light or thereabouts on average. Where he'll need to reassess is corporate pricing as a lot of those unsold seats are in that part of the North Bank in the less glamorous games.

Season Tickets are now available for renewal though the link doesn't work!

Basically they've worked out nobody is buying a membership next season. If they are £45 you break even if you go to 9 none Cat C games before taking club tat into account so will be worth it now for many who probably wouldn't have renewed.

Removed the merchandise cash as part of the improved offer. Replaced with a 15 quid ticket to a friendly, whooooooo.
Missed that. But I never made it to the end of the AI generated bollocks. Doesn’t sound very improved to me…

As I read it you get the merchandise cash up front in the price so it's better.

Edit he means loyalty cash

A dead easy one to do would be to do a deal with West Midlands Trains/National Express WM/whoever and make buses and trains to and from the game free within a certain radius if you show your season card (say as far west as Shrewsbury, as far north as Stafford and as far south as Coventry. We don't have many fans to the east of Wolverhampton so fuck thinking too much about that).

It's been included in German match tickets since at least when I lived over there which is now a very long time ago.

Would really trim the cost for a lot of people.

My limited experience tells me local train travel here is a lot more than there though. Someone coming from Telford for 19 games would be saving the thick end of £200

Yeah, that's what I'm driving at. You can offer me 40% discount in the club shop rather than 10%, the travel is going to be worth way more to me. Especially if it's a family.

It's very doable, we'd need to pay the travel operators something (not the full whack, as how can you even measure numbers accurately - and the amounts involved would be essentially a rounding error in our accounts, I mean it wouldn't even add up to what we're getting thanks to Burnley coming straight back up) but it'd be a serious benefit to a large number of fans. Extend it if you like to matchday parking in the city for those driving in (and pay Wolves Council/whoever owns the car parks a bit of money).

If of course they gave a solitary fuck about the fans.

There is a throwaway comment about discounts with other retailers but I expect those to be more tat-merchants

I can’t see me using any of the new perks. Probably not even the free friendly.

What’s new for 2025/26?

From the start of the new season, season ticket holders and members will enjoy:

  • 10% discount on all retail items – both online and in-store
  • 10% discount on official away travel
  • 10% discount on Molineux stadium tours
  • 10% discount on entrance to the Wolves Museum
  • 10% discount on private room bookings at Molineux
  • Exclusive access to One Pack Perks, offering deals and discounts from local businesses
  • A refreshed and more rewarding Wolves Rewards programme
  • Member exclusive discount on Category A & B home match tickets (Minimum £5 discount on adult tickets/minimum £2 discount on junior tickets)

Brighton do this btw so it's doable in this country. Free travel as far as Haywards Heath with a match ticket.

Pricing for trains in this country are shocking. Even though I am a long way to the east of Wolverhampton (‘actually’!!) I have an hourly train which would work perfectly well, make the journey better for everyone and take a polluting car off the road. Just check the ticket prices for a family of four… right everyone, back in the car.
