Summer 2021 transfer window

There have been more than a few imports to MLS recently from Brazil and Argentina that have really, really flattered to deceive. Players who were practically royalty in South America.

Miguel Almiron was the best by far and he's not exactly pulling up trees for Newcastle.

I know that this guy is supposed to be the best young striker in Brazil and we'd do well to get him.

Newcastle fans love him for some reason. He did start to improve last season, but he's a bit of a headless chicken.

The thing that he and a lot of his contemporaries have demonstrated is that the South American leagues don't require quick speed of thought. Almiron can get away with it because he always works his ass off and he's lightning quick.

His less athletic peers often come off as if they're playing the game as it was two seconds ago, rather than having the ability to spot things before they develop.

Anyone else slightly concerned we haven't see the back of Jose?

We have, he's not coming back. He even admits he wasn't good enough for English football

Easy joke to make but in Spain he has decent a record. Some fairly decent teams tried to sign him.
A few factors played into his failure with us. Main one being we signed a player really not suited to how we play (you like a ball to the near post so you can make a run across the defender, sure we will do that 4 times in your 16 or however many games you play) and then as the games went on you could see he just wanted to go home. Why we kept bringing him on I don't know, would have been better giving Samuels a run out or playing with 10 men.

Like it! On loan makes sense too.
