Just looked it up and these are obviously guesstimates but they generally average out at a £40-50m net spend per year. Which for a club that regularly gets to the latter stages of the Champions League, wins titles etc isn't exactly outlandish.

2022/23: Spent £127m, Sold £180m
2023/24: Spent £233m, Sold £141m
2024/25: Spent £200m, Sold £158m

Aren't most/all of the charges from absolutely ages ago? Like some were Mancini era. No doubt they have broken rules along the way but I wouldn't say they're run irresponsibly now, haven't been for a long time.
