Just the five RBs included this time...

Just three, Pickford, Pope and Ramsdale, which is essentially all the ones you can pick. You can't pick Henderson because he's barely played for months, and Johnstone doesn't have a club at the moment and Albion stopped using him when their season was dead and he was obviously leaving. There isn't anyone else.

Chelsea sale now approved by the Government after being satisfied Roman won't benefit from any of the proceeds.

Is it just me that questions the value of the club being £4.5b, surely it can't generate enough revenue to justify that sort of price tag?

Presumably the hotel and stadium are part of that? And in that area that would be a substantial proportion?

They're not *actually* worth much. The hotel is outdated and needs to go realistically if they want to expand the stadium (was a folly by Bates), and the stadium itself isn't worth anything in terms of land value because of the covenant that the Chelsea Pitch Owners have. It's not like you can knock it down, move somewhere else and you've got yourself some prime real estate in West London.

Begs the question then, why have they been sold for £2.75bn

It seems too much?

Utd are values at £4.2b so seems about right to me

United have a massive commercial arm don't they? A crumbling stadium and poor performances on the pitch but they are one of the commercial heavyweights.

Chelsea were all built on abromovichs billions weren't they? As DW says the land is a red herring as the covenants won't allow much, and even if they did sell they'd have to buy a new stadium out if it.

Maybe I'm missing the commercial animal that Chelsea may have become, and I'm not exactly an economics guru, my bank account at the end of the month is proof of that!

CLT’s US Open Cup run came to an end last night, getting thoroughly outplayed by New York Red Bulls and losing 3-1.

Doesn't bates retain a room in that hotel? A penthouse or something for a pound a week or something ridiculous? Agreed as part of him selling the club?

United also own all the cargo yard land round the back of the Stretford End and Alex Ferguson stands. You could easily fit another Old Trafford into that space.

Nketiah expected to sign a new deal with Arsenal. 5 years , 100k a week.

Wtf.

Pulled the Darren Ferguson 'play OK a few times when your deal's running out' card there.
