The R.I.P. Thread

In recent years he has apologised for his past misgivings, found the lord, repented & tried to right his wrongs. There are a lot of stories of Hulk paying for peoples surgeries and helping save lives. Ric Flair also has stated that Hulk was at his bedside when he was at deaths door. He also was in contact with Jim Ross who has had 2 bouts of Cancer himself.

Yes he said & did some really stupid stuff but his legacy to pop culture & the Wrestling business cannot be understated. Without Vince Mcmahon & Hulk Hogan WWE is not the monster it is today.

RIP Hulkster

Also as a morbid fact... with Hulks passing. The first Wrestlemania main event where all participants are still alive is Wrestlemania 12. Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels.
No idea where to start with this.

So I won't even bother.

Vince and Hulk made wrestling what it is today, both are utter scumbags for the most part though and incidentally they mostly hated each others guts too.

Could be said for so many wrestlers and others in that business though to be fair.

Was he controversial?

I remember him being on Talk Radio in the 90s and listening to him whilst playing Championship Manager till the early hours.

Terry Reid, singer songwriter 75, not well known, but reading his Wikipedia page he was known by and played with everyone as a session musician.
He’s probably most famous for turning down deep purple when they needed a singer, he was about to go on tour as the stones support act, when Jimmy Page asked him to join the new yardbirds a band he was putting together, told them to ask the singer of band of joy instead, a certain Robert Plant and well yea we know the rest.
