The R.I.P. Thread

Danny Thompson 86, bassist, founder member of pentangle, and session musician extraordinaire

Italian actress Claudia Cardinale, 87
Gorgeous, sexy B&W photo of her inside Bob Dylan's double album cover for Blonde on Blonde.
Her management had the photo pulled when the album was re released.

Don't want to go on and on about this but the album version of the photo is a little better than that Googled version.
The album one has a little less contrast, is a more softer photo, her face is softer, the suggestion of the look of her softly nibbling her bottom lip, looks more natural and the second button undone is just a bit sexy.
The whole photo is nicer, and I wondered for years why she was featured in a Bob Dylan album, till I found out.

Sir Menzies Campbell 84, probably best known as the former Lib Dem’s leader, was also a very good athlete in his day.
He competed for team GB in the 200m and 4x100m at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Held the uk 100m record from 67-74 after running a 10.2 second race, in which he beat an upcoming American sprinter called O.J. Simpson.

Dame Jane Goodall 91, zoologist, primatologist and the worlds leading authority on chimpanzees, also the first person to record an animal in the wild using a tool to help it feed, she recorded a chimpanzee using a stick to dig termites out of their nest, that discovery shaped the future of evolutionary sciences.

Soo Catwoman (Susan Lucas).

I'm guessing she won't register for most on here? But culturally she was very much part of the public consciousness for a spell in the mid/ late 70s.
