Nobodys going to mourn for him, and the world is a better place without him, but its not justice.Everytime one of these paedo scumbags go down it's said they'll get 'justice' off the other prisoners. Good to hear he has, let's hope he was scared in his final moments, depraved wanker
I agree with you, but in a system with finite resources I think every penny spent keeping someone like Watkins safe is a waste.Nobodys going to mourn for him, and the world is a better place without him, but its not justice.
Justice is when you're arrested, put on trial, found guilty and then sentenced according to the laws passed by Parliament. Not when some random decides to stab you in the shower. And lets face it, that random is unlikely to have been a standup member of society, given he was in the same prison as someone was awful as Watkins. Lets not outsource 'justice' to such people.
And if we decide that, yes, Watkins deserved to die, then we have mechanisms to introduce that.
Ok I'll reword it. Doesn't bother me one jot that another scumbag has got to himNobodys going to mourn for him, and the world is a better place without him, but its not justice.

Having got to page 2 of the sentencing remarks I'm happy we've ended up with the most cost efficient way of getting the right outcomes.Systems with capital punishment tend to actually cost more, because you need a cast iron appeal system, checks and balances etc.
And prison food costs a lot less than lawyers.
I'm still scarred from reading about that case.Having got to page 2 of the sentencing remarks I'm happy we've ended up with the most cost efficient way of getting the right outcomes.
