Iran , USA and Wales - England playing those 3 nations in the Group stages is similar to playing lessor opponents during an International break . There should be nothing to fear there - Wales will fight hard , but England should win that .
Remember Franco Baresi - USA 1994 - Got injured in the opening group match , flew back home , got treatment ( maybe even an operation of sorts ) , flew back afterwards and appeared in the final .
If a player has an injury from a country that would expect to go far , they might still get a game later on in the knock out stages , unless it's a long term injury .

I don't fancy England to beat any.of them in fairness.

Chilwell pretty much confirmed to be out now too.

Sepp Blatter confirms that awarding the World Cup to Qatar was a mistake.

Cheers Sepp you corrupt fucking cunt. I bet you didn’t think that when you were opening your brown envelope.
I bet he did....just didn't give a shit as he counted the money

TAA and Trippier are pretty good though.

We've only got Luke Shaw at LB which is more of a worry for me.
I think that Walker will go and Trippier will be the cover at Left back.

What is the word on Kyle Walker ?

When is he expected to be able to play ?

They said on the radio this morning that he has made a 'miraculous' recovery and could feature for City this evening

I'd take James over anybody at right back. I think he's that good.

We'll still be OK with Trippier, Walker, Trent and probably White too. Still, I'd rather we had him available!

I wonder if a Rico Henry or Tyrick Mitchell may get a call given we have 26 to play with.

As it stands, I'd go (factoring in ones that will travel regardless)

Pickford, Pope, Ramsdale

Stones, Maguire, Coady, White, Guehi, White

Walker, TAA, Trippier, Shaw

Rice, Bellingham, Henderson, Gallagher, Maddison, Mount

Saka, Foden, Sterling, Grealish

Kane, Rashford, Wilson

I'd take Toney over your second White 😁

Other than that, that's a bloody good squad.
