The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Whilst I agree and understand that this player wasn't all in.

Requesting a release clause shouldn't break the deal if others were to ask for it?

No issue with a relegation release clause, but surely that wasn’t what made wolves think ‘he doesn’t really want to come’ seems to have dragged on a lot if that was the initial thought process

Depends what the clause was though. A very low fixed fee for example that loses us money.

What we class as low i dont know though. Shi maths are odd at the best if times.

Any player who Wolves were looking to sign would be mad to not at least think about a relegation release clause. It doesn't take a lot of research to find out that we have been, and continue to be, a club that is perilously close to the drop. And the circumstances that push us down the hole are not all that implausible.

Penny dropped 👀 on pushing through players who are not 100% about joining us?

Bit of club spin just cos we didn't sign them though, isn't it?

It's not like we turned them down? Sounds like we were still keen on both until it became clear it was in vain and they were set on another club?

Burnley were strongly linked with Sicknote Sammy but have signed Dubravka from Newcastle.

Might not have to worry about Bentley being the back up option...for approx 25% of next season.
