The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Exactly.

It may take him a while to get full fitness back, so him being an impact sub for us suits both parties.
I would be happy to have him in the squad too, I’ve always liked him - but if we are signing Tolu and keeping JSL (I know I know) he’s then third or even fourth choice.

*New name alert*

Linked to Brais Méndez. 28 year old attacking midfielder for Real Sociedad. Capped for Spain. 16 goals in 96 appearances for Sociedad.

Very good player. Doubt we'd be able to get him.

I don't have faith in us getting anything other than the easiest and most mediocre of signings over the line now tbh
Stinks of us making a last ditch attempt at a big name to appease the fans but ending up with Brownhill, doesn’t it?

Gotta say, give me moaners (Hi Jinks x) over 'be positive' bland, complacent fuckos like this fella any day
Is a balancing act of awareness and context. During prime Nuno years we still had people moaning, if you couldn't enjoy wolves at that point it would be impossible to enjoy wolves at all.

But right now there isn't a single thing that says we'll survive this season, and it's been coming for the last few seasons. Couple that with the nonsense that comes out of Jeff shis mouth (and that bizarre column he wrote in the e&s a few times). I can't see many reasons to be positive at the moment

The only thing we have going for us this season is time. (As in, there are 35 games left)

But that is it.

Whatever Vitor's squad looks like this time tomorrow, he has to find a formula in it for getting points between now and the next window

I spotted Jackson making a fair few decent runs yesterday - but he needs the ball playing in front of him so he can run onto it (remember we all wanted Adama to do this except he kept standing still and wanting it to feet?). Now we have a player who wants it played in behind so he can run on to it, but in Andre and Joao Gomes, we have two players who are most comfortable knocking it neat and tidy in to feet.

That’s why it’s imperative we get a more creative midfielder in. Absolute farce that we’ve arrived in the last two days of the transfer window to get one over the line.
Could Lopez be that guy maybe? Only seen the highlights as been away all weekend but he seemed to be. Granted a small sample size, but seemed very proactive

"Feeling positive" can only be based purely on hope as all the empirical evidence points to us being woefully short on quality and undercooked, defending like 10 year old school kids, and short on creativity.

In short... we look nailed on relegation fodder.
Based on the highlight you’re being abit harsh on 10 year olds
