The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

I think Xico Conceição is a fairly obvious one depending on how much we're willing to spend. Has a €30M release clause up until July 15th which Juve aren't going to take and there's no way he goes back to Porto after everything that happened with his father.

He'd fit the profile Vítor was talking about of the #10 who can beat players as well.

Fábio Vieira could be an obvious one as well although I'm less convinced about how he'd fit into Vítor's system and there are the obvious doubts about whether he can perform in the Premier League. He was fairly poor for Porto last year but his confidence had been shot by what happened at Arsenal and he started to show glimpses of the wonderful footballer everyone knows he can be towards the end of the season.

Matheus Fernandes another one. One of the only players to come out of Southampton's season from hell with any credit. We will have scouted him thoroughly as he spent a year alongside Rodrigo Gomes on loan at Estoril.

Ricardo Pereira as a cheap replacement for Semedo if he leaves?

It won't just be players from that list though, there are the obvious Mendes clubs who move players around regardless of who their agents actually is. Gestifute are obviously in at United, they have well publicised financial difficulties and we should have a significant amount to spend. I could easily see a few of their duds heading our way.

I think we've been linked with Samú Costa before at Mallorca. He would make sense as he's not going to cost loads and fits into the DM roles.

The Gestifute link is all well and good - but we still need some homegrown players. Who's going to be looking after that criteria now Hobbs is off (confirmed by Percy this morning that his contract has been "mutually cancelled") - Jackson?

I think if you're looking for any kind of transparency here you'll be disappointed. They probably won't even announce anything officially.

From that list, if there's any truth in Yerson going out on loan to prove his fitness (which I wouldn't do, btw - the lad should be back here and playing alongside Agba & Toti as our back three) - I can see us going for Bright Arrey-Mbi.
