He runs in a straight line in the open space afforded to him by virtue of the system we play and the system others play. He then turns back and plays it to the halfway line anyway. It’s not really a positive but it’s somethings I’ve seen mentioned for years. You are correct, it isn’t enough for a WB. Just compare him to Munoz who is probably on half the wages.Obviously Semedo doesn't have enough goals or assists but I think it's a bit short sighted to say he doesn't do anything going forward, he's excellent at getting us up the field. Some might say that isn't enough but along with his defending, speed and athleticism, I think we'll miss him more than most.

Again he’s an international footballer on 6 figures a week. It should be a prerequisite that he can handle the ball.So good at retaining possession too
I’d rather he be staying than going because he’s a steady pro, and we have very few of those and you never know we are going to bring in. But it shouldnt be difficult to improve on his output on less than half the expense.
