The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Can't see the point in cunha going to man u if they are not in europe.
If it's just about money, then man u can't touch Saudi.

The ‘why would he want to go to Utd’ stuff, when asked seriously as opposed to winding them up, just seems really odd to me. They’ll pay him a fortune. He’ll be massively high-profile. I mean, if I had any ability I’d only ever want to play for Wolves with a retirement gig in Sevilla, but for any vaguely rationale actor what is there to be confused about?

Just one totally unrelated question .

Craig Dawson - who VP left out of his PL squad in January.......what does someone of his age do for 5 months with that problem . He wasn't in the cup squad either I think . It's not as if he's 21 and can play with the 21s .
Does he even train with the senior squad in that scenario ? Or does he just leave and look for a new club for the following season ?

Prepare himself and his family for a life after football if he's sensible.

If he could find someone to offer him anything close to what he's on now he'd have gone a long time ago. He might get another year or two in at lower Championship/League 1 level if he's lucky with injuries, his legs have completely gone.

I think he could play as a head it and kick it CB for a decent championship team who put significant pace next to him.

The Championship is shit.

Anyone offering him a contract now will be doing so on terms weighted heavily towards appearances though. This last injury seems to have absolutely ended him, I'd be very surprised if he has a full 46 game season left in him.

I just meant why commit before knowing the outcome of tonight's result? Surely Man Utd in the CL versus not in Europe at all is a big difference.

Because the money will be the same and it’s still United so he’ll still be getting picked for Brazil. If he was motivated by the CL there are umpteen clubs he could play for in it, for a fraction of the cash.

They'll still buy him, it won't have been dependent on winning tonight.

It probably means that they'll have to sell someone like Garnacho or Mainoo in the summer to pass PSR though.

He’ll go, Man U are still an attraction for most footballers irrespective of how shit they are.

Garnacho is shit and a weirdo.

Mainoo can't stay fit and I'm not entirely sure exactly what he is.

Whatever Mainoo was, he certainly isn’t any more…….thanks to that useless Portuguese fraudster.

He has got away with making Man Utd tonnes worse than they were when he arrived - after they sacked a bloke, for being shit, who won two trophies in two seasons.

Good luck Cunha. You might need it.
