The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

It highlights the confused mess of our transfer policy

Hobbs working on bringing in David Brooks and a forward from Germany...he has gone and Vitor won't continue with those deals. So, if he didn't really want them from the off, why try and sign them. Can see why for every Joao Gomes there is a Carlos Forbs and Sam Johnstone.

David Brooks is a weird one, I don't see him fitting in under Vítor at all.

It'd be interesting to see who the Bundesliga striker was as well.

“I know his agent well and he’s always asked if we’d be interested in Sam. This has been coming in some way or another for a while.”

Hobbs when we signed Johnstone.

That particular agent also represents David Brooks, Tommy Doyle, Rob Edwards, Troy Parrott, Jonathon Rowe, Michael Cooper, Tommy Conway, Ché Adams, Dara O'Shea, Harrison Reed & Ryan Giles...

Jesus!

That explains a lot!!

Massive guess but the 'forward from Germany' could've been either Karim Konaté at RB Leipzig or Bazoumana Touré at Hoffenheim as they're represented by the same group.

If Fulham managed to convince them to pay £15M for that lump of lard they have up front then we should be able to take them to the cleaners.

Maybe a nice bidding war with team deadpool.
They can't afford what Blues are offering apparently.

Blues are going to blow everyone out of the water in the Champ with the wages they are chucking around.

Quite intrigued by the Phillips article suggesting that Vitor has a very clear idea as to the wing backs he wants for either side.
Vitors comments (not just in this article) suggest he too is looking at the kind of signings that several people are suggesting are a requirement.
Only concern is the inference that the outgoing business has been done. Pretty sure the majority of us are hoping to see a few other departures.

It's a bit odd, Vitor clearly doesn't rate Hwang, Guedes etc so they'll get hardly any game time. Maybe the deals have already been struck but not announced yet?

I think that means no more key players. Given the choice Vitor would have liked Cunha, RAN and Semedo to be in his squad.

The rest that leave will be because Vitor doesnt want them.
