The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

I think this is really naive.

He has been trying to find a new club for the last 6 months or so, him having to move into a new house in Wolvo and play for us will feel like a backwards step.

Imagine it in your own career?
Well i disagree it’s naive. Comparing football to normal life is silly. But the sake of the argument, if I decline a reasonable offer from my current employers because I want to go look for a better offer, but then a better offer doesn’t arise, I’m grateful that I have my current employer as a fallback option and get my head down and carry on.

The argument is pointless anyway, because he isn’t gonna sign a deal, otherwise he would’ve done it. I imagine he has offers, but is in no rush to pick one given preseason hasn’t even started yet and worst case will hang it out later in the window when teams may pick up early injuries or get desperate.

Not only plays for the USA but this below was in his Wiki. Like a double alert for @Alan

"Arsenal U16 coach Trevor Bumstead stated Musah made an immediate impression; "As a player, he was 'wow'. He's got fantastic physical attributes and the drive and determination to go with that."

He’s excellent at carrying the ball and breaking lines with really direct runs out of the right channel of midfield. He’s quite similar to JRB in a lot of ways, so if he does come, hopefully he can adapt a bit quicker (not that Jean was helped by GO).

Yeah but he ain't worth anywhere near that price... 12 to 15 mill tops.

It'll be interesting to see if Lino is considered as a wing back or inside forward as he can apparently play both positions.

I think Musah could really suit the Premier League, agree with Alan he’s similar in some ways to JRB but definitely more capable of playing in a 2 and dictating. He’s played with Lino before too at Valencia which may help if we are actively trying to bring both in.

My own personal thought would be as a forward but with the capability of dropping back if we need an extra attacking player on the pitch.
He was an inside forward in Portugal and at Valencia but playing wide midfield in Simeone’s 442 has no doubt improved his defensive game.

If he's a decent attacking wing-back I assume we'll be using him there. Munetsi and Lopez will probably play behind JSL (as it stands).
