Very happy with Pubill, I thought he looked very good at the U21 Euros, has 100+ appearances at 22 and at 6"3 should have the physicality to be able to compete in the Premier League straight away.

Milan after a RB & LB. They pushed hard for Pubill last week alongside trying to get the dude from Brighton (LB). Jorge has assisted on the LB deal to ensure it happens and Milan have flipped to an old target for the RB slot.

Meupiyou - annoying when I’ve only recently learnt to spell his name without googling it. But weird when we paid £5m for him less than a year ago, surely a loan is better even from an account pov? Unless we’ve got our money back which seems unlikely

Pubill - my only concern is that he sounds more like a right back who can play centre back. Which would suit being in the back three more under Vitor? Would need a good attacking threat on opposite side (Lino?). From small bits I saw he looks like a strong lad though.

There will be absolutely nowhere near the amount of work done on the squad that we all said was required at the end of last season come opening day.

Sure, we might get another 2-3 through the door after Jhon (I’m not convinced we’ll get that many, tbf) - but I reckon there will only be one more guaranteed starter and that’ll be one of the full back positions. Vítor will then be left to get by with Hugo/Rodrigo/Hoever/Lima as the others.

In an ideal world, most wanted a change of goalkeeper, but that’s not going to happen. There’s absolutely no doubt we need a back up to Toti & JSL, but again, Vitor will probably be told to make do with Sasa. We might sign a left footed defender but it won’t be one that bothers the starting 11.

At the moment they are overseeing another window of abject failure and managed decline. They’ll have to have an absolutely stonking couple of weeks to just stand still, when you look at the players who we’ve sold/lost. Let alone to make any improvements.

It’s a shame, but it’s where we are at with Fosun in charge.

Yeah, it's so bad. I'm not sure how anyone can think things are fine because Vitor's mate is the new Hobbs.

Doherty - GOAT (kidding, needs replacing)

RAN - needs replacing (H.Bueno?)
Semedo - needs replacing
Gomes - first XI
Andre - first XI

Cunha - replaced in front 3 with Arias
Munetsi - an out of position mid, ideally replaced with a first team winger
JSL - first XI

Johnston/Bentley - see Sa
Sarabia - needs replacing, in minutes by Bellegarde/R.Gomes, spot by Fer Lopez?
S.Bueno - need a better CB for cover
Mosquera - need him to be fit just to have cover
Bellegarde - squadie
Guedes - still here, absolutely needs replacing (R.Gomes?)
Hwang - still here, needs replacing (ST)
Doyle - needs replacing (CM)
Lima - backup FB (replaced on bench by Hugo if they get another starting LB)

I don't think we had such a small squad even in the Nuno era, and this is no where near that quality.

Has Jorge got something set up with Alverca?

Chiquinho and now Meupiyou moving there. Generally if something doesn't make full sense, Jorge will be behind it.

Did we really pay £1m for every minute of senior football Meupiyou had played?

Obviously can't tell everything from these videos (World Class Ki-Jana Hoever...) but you can definitely tell that he's got ability going forwards here.
