The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Wishful thinking, but have we just decided this summer was vital in getting rid of the deadwood first and then replacing, as we have over the last few years accumulated some absolute tosh?

I guess from a finance point of view especially with the money saved on wages. Cunha, Guedes, RAN, Semedo got to be close of 350k a week? What’s hwang on? And if Fabio goes as well.

Hopefully we have abit of an influx over the next week

Yeah, some more positive noises coming out in the last few days in terms of the transfer plan, such a lot of churn is a big job though and if we're being that ambitious in terms of change then we won't fix every squad issue this summer.

Hopefully we get Vitor's main areas plugged and then maybe fill a couple of gaps that show in January.

Again, could just be wishful thinking!

Vítor definitely knows what kind of profile he wants in each position. He doesn't seem to have any use for anyone who he doesn't think will fit or doesn't want to be here.

We shouldn't laugh, I read on here that they have more ambition than us.

The comments on that post, though. There’s a United fan in them suggesting they bin off Højlund and sign Hwang as back up…

He's always been bizarrely rated by fans of other clubs
It’s weird that some players do this, isn’t it?! It’s usually when they’ve played well against your team once, but nothing springs to mind in terms of him being decent v Utd?

I don't think I've ever seen a professional footballer trap a ball further than Hwang

Let's hope other clubs with money burning holes in their pocket rate him highly too...

Your moods when Fab tweets "Wolves put €40m price tag on Hwang. Set to stay...FOREVER #commercial"

You can make a 5 minute highlight reel of most players, including Hwang, where they appear to be a fantastic player. The difference with Hwang is you could make a reel lasting a day where he looks like he’s never seen a football before in his life. I can’t think of another Wolves player ever, including in the Sammy Chapman days, who failed to control simple balls more often than Hwang.

Absolutely. Quite a few of my mates can’t understand why I think he’s total shit.

“He scores goals”

So basically had that purple patch that was really obviously just that

2024: 4 goals
2025: 0 goals

A mate of mine supports Leeds and he's been going on all Summer about how he wants them to sign Hwang. I'm just 'jealous' apparently when I tell him how shit he is.

'Jealous' of what exactly? That they want a player that most Wolves fans think is shit and that the Wolves manager has basically deemed surplus to requirements? Really a lot to be jealous about there.
