The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

I used to get it all the time with Kilman as well. That was absolutely crazy to me.

Then you had Liverpool fans who after a few months were telling me all about how they didn't realise Diogo was that good and how Klopp had improved him so much in such a short time. He'd been that good for years you idiots! Including directly against Liverpool on several occasions!

'Jealous' of what exactly? That they want a player that most Wolves fans think is shit and that the Wolves manager has basically deemed surplus to requirements? Really a lot to be jealous about there.

Leeds fans are a strange lot sometimes.

This particular Leeds fan thinks they'll finish top half this season.

Having watched most/all of the Wolves' games during Hwang's purple patch I still don't know how he scored all those goals.

He’s a good finisher in the main. Had good players putting them on a plate for him and he just needed to stand in the box, and he must have had 5 or 6 goals that have either come off his arse or fell to him 5 yards out with an open goal. Must be a knack to that…

I watched Traore for years refuse to get in the box and just hang on the outside. If he did he might have actually scored some goals, like the header against Palace.

We can’t carry a player like that though when we play with a genuine 9 and then have Munetsi too. It’s not like when we had Cunha dropping deep and Neto stretching things and us playing basketball.

I have only just arrived here, so I apologise if this has already been discussed…

We still have Fabio Silva in our squad. What are we going to do with him??

Welcome mate.

Doesn't look like he's part of Vitor's plans and there have been strong rumours of an imminent permanent move, best for all parties really

Welcome mate.

He's been heavily linked with a few big German clubs. It seems like he wants to move to Roma and there's even been a few suggestions that he's had meetings with them and verbally agreed personal terms but Roma are unlikely to be able to pay the same kind of fee that Dortmund or Frankfurt are.

I would say it'll probably drag late into the window and either we'll accept a slightly lower bid from Italy/Spain or Silva will back down and go to Germany.

Thanks for the welcome Lycan.
I had visions of Silva turning up on the bench… I think he, apparently, had a good season at Las Palmas scoring 10 goals and I wondered if he might, finally, prove useful to us… somehow, I think not.

To be honest the guy has given so many interviews saying how much he hates being at Wolves that I wouldn't want him back here even if he had turned himself into a good player.

If he is dead set on Roma we could see that loan with a (hopefully a zero wriggle room) obligation that was mentioned a few weeks back.

Would have the odd moment of him signing a new deal with us though.

If people think that Fosun are going to return to their pre Covid ambition then they’re deluded.
What will happen is eventually we’ll accumulate a squad of players that nobody will to cherry pick off us.
If we stay up this season you can expect to see another 2 of our best players departing.

Gomes, Andre and Stand Larsen will all leave at the end of the season, Mosquera too if he stays fit and plays to anywhere near his potential.
