From what I can see from a quick glance we are the last Chinese owned football club (outside China) or that is majority owned. It's clear it's been a national shift and that has occured precisely as our own strategy and ambition changed.

People claim we are looking at a self sufficient player trading model, but we don't buy enough players to truly support that as a successful strategy.

Fabio Silva you mean? He is done at Wolves and rightly so. Sasa is a good guy but we can't just rely on him with his injury record

Lupo, Larsen on Wolves no have many option to score, hare 0 goals on preseason. But wolves put the price of Larsen on 75M.

The CF not are the problem for me Sasa have good moves, Fabio Silva show are good fw on spain, teams like he: Roma, Leizpig, Borussia, Sturgat, and Eintrach. Roma and Borussia have a great scouting.

The problem of wolves are other: the tactic and lineups; they dont know how made center or assist on area. If you guys have Lewadoski on the FW position, have the same problems, not put good balls on the area, no goals.

FS has had plenty of opportunities at Wolves under various managers and with different teammates and has flunked them all. He has openly admitted he doesn't want to be here. He was laughably bad at Rangers in 2023-24. He may do ok in European leagues but for one reason or another is not suited to the game over here.

The Larsen fee was set high as a hands off. We don't want to sell him unless someone offered stupid money, at this point the £65m fee would be stupid money though I would prefer to keep him given our terrible track record for reinvesting fees received

This is nonsense Fabio has had the privilege and chances in the same side as the likes of of RAN, Neto, Adama, Neves and Moutinho and has never proved himself.
Played in various systems under various managers but has struggled.
He hasn’t pulled up trees anywhere on loan either.
Reality is it was a bad choice for him to come here for both us and him.

So, last week before the season starts...do we think we'll have any incoming signings before the City game? And anyone in time to make the bench for Saturday?

My gut feeling...no. I think we're looking at late in the window to either get our more ambitious targets over the line or have a last minute plunge further down the list if they fall through

I think we’re on the “further down the list” bit already. It’s gone extremely quiet on the rumour front, but that doesn’t mean much. No idea if we’ll get anyone in before City (probably not). Even if we do, we’ll still be starting Hoever at right back. It’s going to be a blood bath.

I think Fabio is in the same dark level as Hoever. Kind of unwanted, but 'look at me, I've been all over on loans and have improved no end' kind of thing. Hoever is already showing few signs of the 'improvements' he's banging on about and I can see that if we don't score many (regardless of results) 3 or 4 games in we're gonna see Fabulous Fabio on the teamsheet come 3pm matchday.
God, I'm ever the optimist, but seeing we have a new structure at the top and we also have Super Agent in the smart suit, I'm shocked at the lack of business.
