The JSL injury/potential non involvement shows the issue with the delay in signing players and why "judging at the end of the window" isn't always the best way.

We have an important game tomorrow and now potentially no striker you'd be confident of lasting 90 minutes available for it, and it's only the 3rd game of the season.

This isn't some unforseen hard luck development. Its the depth issue that many different people highlighted several times already as a clear concern.

According to L'Equipe we've had a bid of €30M turned down for Matthis Abline.

If this is true (doubtful) then it’s almost definite that JSL is on his way.

Too many coincidences for this not be happening if we’re still looking at strikers.

I think they will.

Isak is definitely going and so they’re still a striker short.

And I don’t think Wissa is going there.
