The Video Games Thread II - The Resurrection

Just saw that Illumiroom vid. Looks quite good. I'd probably buy it.

Brought The Orange Box today, just for Team Fortress 2, had it before but got rid, just playing TF2 again has made me realise how good it is actually, nothing serious but just all out fun and shooting.

Really looking forward to Lego City Undercover for Wii U. The game will have me gripped for months.

Just showed my kids the Disney Infinity trailer and they want it now. It's like a skylanders rip off but should be made better.

Finally got a good crack at the new halo after my xbox died. it starts slowly but at the moment its fucking ace! Mech suits like in aliens, helicopters and massive dessert vehicles to attack from! much better than i was anticipating! i haven't even started multiplayer but looks like not can play on custom built maps which is always good fun!

Playing a few games on and off atm. Lego LOTR is excellent fun, love the way they use dialogue from the movies. Dead Space 2 is scary as fuck but still enjoyable, if a bit intense. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a lot of fun as well, I've found it very easy to get into and play here and there as opposed to how daunting something like Skyrim is.

I also discovered Dungeon Keeper 2 was on GOG.com for about £2 and it now works on modern windows systems - this was and still is one of my favourite games of all time.

Right guys,
I'm looking for a new PC game to get addicted to.
I used to love games like Age of Empires, Settlers, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Railroads, basically the ones where you start with nothing and build up an empire!

Do they still make games like this as I've been looking for a Settlers 8, AoE 4 but nothing is around...

Any recommendations on similar types of game?

I'm praying it's good. There hasn't been a decent console Aliens game for so long.

The develoer THQ has gone bust today which is a shame but thankfully the studios will be sold on.

Nintendo has released some more information on the big plans.

- Miiverse on Pc and mobile later this year
- New HD Mario this year
- New HD Zelda
- New Mario Kart
- New super smash bros

so it could be a big year at e3

Haven't they re-released Zelda - Wind Waker for WiiU?

That's my favourite Zelda game. Absolutely adored it for my GameCube.

Yes they are remaking Wind waker in HD

The ps4 controller is dumping dualshock apparently and I wouldn't surprised if it's a tablet controller with Sony's track record of copying nintendo
