The Video Games Thread II - The Resurrection

You might want to buy that vice.

I wouldn't bother with it for PSP stuff (there probably are ways of fiddling with it to make it work better but there's little point in me bothering, I literally already have an actual PSP) and I haven't tried too much Dreamcast wise (never an easy platform to emulate by all accounts, just because of how the original was built), but if you're interested in a low-cost portable way of playing loads of 80s/90s/early 2000s games, it's great.

Any of the Pokemon games run smoothly mate.

I wouldn't have a clue where I'm looking mate! Which system?

(I also won't know how to play them as I never have before)

There are shed loads of these emulator boxes. Plenty of people do reviews and comparisons of them on YouTube including demos of the GUI front end and how many games are actually on there compared to what's advertised.

Yeah, quite a lot of them about. The one DW nabbed is a decent bargain though

Fell into a bit of a rabbit hole before I ordered mine a while ago. Fair bit more and does the same

You can get $$ ones that play all the way up to the latest systems but for me personally it kind of loses its appeal when it just looks like a smartphone. I like the retro gameboy type vibe to them. Mine is shaped like a SNES pad

I've got one now too, great for traveling as don't need to be online.

Really enjoying playing the Metal Slug games again.
