Trump

I think they have been for a few years now, maybe excepting a gap for COVID. But the idea of it is so anathema to people in the West that we’ll probably never admit it.

China will be the next global superpower, Trump is just making sure it happens quicker

China already is a global super power. It is supplying weapons to Russia, becoming wealthier because of the war.
The US have given Ukraine many billions in military aid, while China is helping Russia, but according to some the US are the bad ones. The UK and EU are continually enriching China, but asking the US to defend us. Only yesterday China was meeting European officials in Munich, for trade deals. The same ministers are criticising the US, forgetting that Ukraine would have fallen ages ago, if it weren't for US military aid.

Trump staffers sacked 300 people from the NNSA ( national nuclear security agency) then found out they were in charge of the nuclear weapons safety and maintenance, tried to contact them via email to reinstate them, and then found out that all the employees email access was cancelled immediately upon sacking, so are now trying other ways to contact them.
Elect a clown expect a circus

Tbf VAT is a terrible idea. One of the most regressive taxes. Think it was a condition of joining the EEC?

In the UK, VAT replaced Purchase Tax. Unlike VAT, Purchase Tax was applied at the point of manufacture and distribution, not at the point of sale. The rates of Purchase Tax for various classes of goods at the start of 1973, when it gave way to VAT, were 13%, 22%, 36% and 55%. VAT was originally set at 10%.

It’s been the same for probationary, doge have seen that and thought it’s new starters, also means someone gets promoted on probation to manager to see if they suit the job and can do it, if not they go back to their old job, there’s people on twitter saying they’ve lost their job of 10 years or so just because doge saw they were probationary and thought fuck you, you’re costing money.

White House confirms date for Starmer visit

Sir Keir Starmer will hold talks with Donald Trump at the White House next Thursday.
French President Emmanuel Macron will be there on Monday.
The White House press secretary confirmed the visits, which will see the leaders discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.
Starmer and Macron are believed to be keen to pitch the idea of a peacekeeping force on the ground after the war, supported by a US "backstop" that will help deter future Russian attacks.
