Loz Fox, definitely not in the middle of a breakdown, said he was going to withdraw all his money out of Barclays in cash.

Amazingly enough he has not done this.
 
Coutts have responded to Nigel Farage's complaints. Needless to say that they don't agree with his version of events.

Farage bank account shut for falling below wealth limit

Nigel Farage's account was not closed for political reasons but due to a lack of funds, the BBC has been told.

So Coutts decided that he didn't have the wealth required to bank with them anymore. Owners of Coutts, Nat-West have offered him banking services with them.

So we've had a week of Government ministers speaking out on such issues and the right wing press up in arms over it but it was all a non-story.
 
I for one cannot believe Nigel Farage of all people was telling lies in order to stoke division.

Absolutely shocked and stunned.
 
Government have written to FCA asking them to pressure the banks over the closure of accounts by Politically Exposed Persons despite Coutts making it abundantly clear this wasn’t the reason for the Farage decision.

And Toad of Toad Hall is now tweeting that the only reason the decision could be made is because the PEP decision making process is from that nasty EU and a “Brexit government” should tear such legislation down.

The letter pressuring the FCA is at best inappropriate. And if Coutts refuse to deal with the racist near pauper, that is their commercial decision and fuck all to do with government.

I see Farage is still whinging, and claims that there is a nice big Coutts document proving they have been bad to him.

Coutts should say “we shut your account because you are a cunt and dealing with you tarnishes our reputation”
 
Surely coutts are able to offer banking to who they like? There's no requirement for coutts to provide him with banking. Why the furore? And why does shapps sidled in saying it is a disgrace? Banks close customers accounts every day? What's special about this whining maggot?
 
My take on it is that Coutts are arseholes as they have given the frog featured racist a platform when he was increasingly becoming an irrelevance.

Disappointed with Kirsty Wark as she allowed Farage to bully the fellow guest speaking on behalf of the banking sector. She looked shaken by it and couldn’t quite get out her point that I think was that specialised banks servicing niche customers, in this case wealthy ones, can chose who they do business with and put in whatever restrictions they like.
 
Farage should be removed from that sort of show. His party (if he is even still vaguely associated) garner Monster Raving Loony levels of support now and I don’t see the successors to Lord Such getting a panel seat on Newsnight.

An "apology" in which they said it wasn't done because of political or personal views, and they made it clear they were downgrading not closing his account.
