Wolves 0-4 Man City (16/08/2025) - Verdict Thread

Lemina's was more a congrats on getting the move you deserved or maybe wanted for Cunha.

Never take much notice of footballers on SM, most of the time its not actually them and if it is they just see its a mate and like things without a thought.

They auto like pretty much any post made.

I wouldn't get ones knickers in a twist over it

Lemina definitely has a bit of a chip on his shoulder when it comes to us. He's done stuff like this before, I think he said something like 'well done on finally getting out of there' when Cunha or Aït-Nouri left.

Very weird.
He's always going to get the benefit of the doubt from me, earned or not. Yes, he handled himself poorly, but as I've said before, I wouldn't have handled those months under GO particularly well, either, especially once that bitchass poser of a coach started scapegoating Mario.

In the past now, at least. We move on.

We give him shit, he gives us shit. He can still get fucked though
Definitely; he's on the winning side this time so he gets to do it. Doubt he can read my posts with all that cash in his face, anyway.

I'm sure Nunes isn't bothered what Wolves fans think of him but I bet he would rather be held in the high esteem of his compatriots Ruben and Diogo than the disdain he is held in. That's on him. Saying that, I did say yesterday that the panto booing is getting a bit old hat now and a bit tinpot too

Ratheus can stick it up his fucking hoop. Well done mate, you're now an awful bit part right back instead of one of the top emerging midfielders in Europe, what a career progression.

A lot of issues yesterday (though I thought we were alright while it was 0-0), most of which we knew anyway:

- Sa will always let in goals where you wonder how that has gone in, he is of course currently the best we have but we should be aiming for better, he is not very good
- Doherty way too slow, doesn't have a natural CH instinct in terms of positioning and flinches out of the way of the third goal, the cowardly tub of fuck
- Toti so clunky in possession
- Wolfe might turn out to be alright (I didn't think he did too badly) but he's not going to have the attacking output of RAN
- Hoever stuck at it but is never a PL player
- No options to change it up in midfield so teams that can freshen it up with quality off the bench are going to take advantage as we tire
- Munetsi and Bellegarde are not very good footballers
- Strand Larsen's finishing is still very hit and miss, it's good in a way that he gets into enough positions where he's always getting chances but he's not a reliable marksman at this stage

How you fix all that in two weeks, well, we shouldn't have left ourselves in a position where we have to.

He was the captain of the football club and paid thousands of pounds a week to represent us appropriately. To act the way he did was ludicrous and for you to defend it even more so.

His form was atrocious as was his behaviour.
A shit boss isn’t the green light to go rogue and toxic so much so you’re put in the bomb squad pretty much day 1 the new boss arrives.
Probably the best early decision VP made was removing Lemina and his spoilt child behaviour combined with his Ali Dia performances.

Okay. Hardly the first time.

Gary was the poison and that filtered down to everyone. I won’t be convinced otherwise and it’s sad that Mario’s importance and excellence until literally everything fell apart is forgotten now.

Telling me otherwise is going to be less a good use of time than banging your head against a brick wall.

Yep, this pretty much tallies with the idea that the captaincy is "piece of cloth".

On Lemina, as a footballing itinerant i thought that he may have found his spiritual home when he landed at Wolves.

But I guess that some things are just ingrained in the psyche and as sure as night follows day he didn't stay for long and punted on as he'd become so toxic.

That’s reading so much into a single button click. Folks in general aren’t out here contemplating the significance of the Like as if they’re fucking Aristotelian scholars.

Is it? Like I say Ruben hasn't "liked" it has he?

Not giving some thought is exactly what is notable, lacking that tiny bit of awareness that's all.

It's you that is actually overthinking it.

Can’t tell if you’re agreeing or disagreeing
I think you dismissing MR'S behaviour as ok because of GON tallies with the what I see as ridiculous idea that captaincy is not important.

You don't seem to think any of those psychological aspects of leadership or management are important, yet also think GON's management gave him free reign to behave like a dick. It's a contradiction i can't understand.

Sorry why are we talking about Mario Lemina?
