Wolves 1-1 Brentford: Verdict Thread

We might have lost by less but we would have still lost those games.

Gary was emptying midfield, there isn't a CB on the planet who can mitigate that for 90 minutes
This is true, but I think the points made about Agbadou are fair and have been said by a lot of other people on here.

For all the euphoria of winning six on the trot, the past three games have shown that we are still not able to consistently beat mid-table teams.

Even with the change of manager and the introduction of Agbadou, our defense still makes too many unforced errors. We look nervous passing along the back and keep giving the ball away turning/passing blind just outside the area. Bottom teams might not punish us for that, but middle and top ones do. Is it coaching? players? formation? An area VP needs to improve us on if we are to progress.

And we need a back up no 9. Not someone who can play all across the front but an out and out striker. For all our possession and build up play, today we weren't really dangerous until JSL came on.

If you break down where our points come from it tells you a lot

Top 5: 0 points
6-10th: 9 points
11-15th 14 points
16-20th: 19 points (2 less games here as we were in 16th)

Just 27 points also v sides you would deem PL quality.
What we’ve is put away the fodder and got points of sides in vulnerable positions. ie Bournemouth going down to 10 men, spurs and Man Utd having their priorities firmly elsewhere.

Definitely need a better option than wastes of space like Guedes and Hwang, can't be that hard

Or we stayed up with decent form for half the season after chucking the first half in the bin with a disaster on and off the pitch that was allowed to happen.
It cannot be missed what a mess we were in. All discipline at the club was gone, players had lost the plot, a manager with no grip and a SD with a blindfold on and a Chairman increasing his twat levels.

Trying to analysis this season is almost impossible really. 3 teams in the bottom 4, as it were, made changes and I would suggest we were in a worst state than Leicester at the point of change. Our change did what he needed to do and a bit more, the other 2 actually made their teams worse.

We have said it before and been disappointed but a huge summer ahead. Slightly more confident with the news that Vitor is at the front of our transfer decision making. We are losing some big players but actually have that degree of confidence that what comes in enables Vitor to have a squad, not just 11 or 12 players.

Not dismissing what VP has done, nevertheless it’s pretty obvious with how limited the playing squad even a good coach we don’t have enough to get points of decent sides.
Our aim is 17th so just beating the promoted 3 and a few others will be enough to keep Jeff happy.

Probably for the best we followed our six game winning streak with a point from 12 as it should ensure there is no complacency like we had
at the end of Lage’s and O’Neill’s first seasons when alarm bells were ringing and completely ignored. VP is clearly a competent manager but he needs to be given the tools to do the job. Get recruitment right and we should be in the pack of teams that spend more time looking up than down, get it wrong and we’ll be hoping Leeds recruitment has been as bad as the promoted teams this season.

The fastest he moved all match was when he was subbed off. Can’t stand him.
I was waiting to see his reaction as he went off then noticed he'd already got to the bench so yes he must have moved quick

I’m still thinking the last two matches were VP essentially giving Guedes a “last chance”. Given he did fuck all, I don’t expect Vítor will want him sticking around.

He's a horrific footballer, he doesn't even have a good track record.

We won't be able to give him away.
