Setting aside the obvious personnel issues, it's extremely worrying that we're four matches into the season, and Pereira has set us up palpably wrongly in each and every one of them.

Short of something completely unforeseen in the next few days, we're heading one way, and one way only.

3 in a row and all the results have been very fair.
Well beaten today even though we could’ve snatched a draw.
The defence is a disgrace almost as bad as last seasons before xmas.
Don’t be duped by the scoreline it flattered us it flattered us last week.
You simply cannot keep conceding at this rate and expect to pick up points.
All the signings look either not ready or not that good.
Only 2 started the game and only 1 finished it.
Arias I’m sorry if he’s the Cunha replacement then I should be the next James Bond.
Munetsi yep gets a lot of grief but I just think he’s being asked to do something he’s never going to be able to be.

VP yes a lot is not his fault however keeping everyone on the pitch who started at halftime was poor and in game management was reactive.
Fact remains he’s not won a PL game in 8 now with 7 defeats.
It’s not a case of whether we go down it’s a case of how horrible this season will be now.
Anything coming in by Monday isn’t going to be enough.

Uuuhhff we were bad.

Lopez looked good. Sasa did well.

Surely Mosquera and the new guy have to come in to that defence? It was calamitous.

The 3 that came up look like they’ve got a lot more about them also.
As it stands I think we get between 15-20 points.
This squad has just quantities of championship type players and ones that get you between 7th-12th in the championship.

Agbadou needs to train more on passing the ball and Toti needs to have captaincy taken off him.

Should have just spend the afternoon laughing at videos on my phone like JSL. Fair play to those who were at the match.

So, predictably, after struggles to replace the quality we lost and a slow window, we lose the three games before the window closes, and we're playing catch-up again.

Good first; decent cameo from Lopez and usual energy and desire to make things happen from Rodrigo. We have to try and integrate these into the starting XI now surely? Especially Fer.

Agree about the defensive concerns, but we've also chopped and changed a lot (enforced sometimes), so we need a settled unit ASAP. See if that improves the poor individual performances.

Aside from Fer, in terms of new signings, first impressions are underwhelming. Arias you would expect to settle in quickest, but hasn't happened for him so far. Tchatchoua looks like a 4th choice target to me with one outstanding attribute, but his use of the ball looks pedestrian. Wolfe looks like what the kids call 'mid'. Let's see how they develop.

Pereira has the international break now, so once he has his squad after Monday, whatever it looks like, he needs to fashion a team with fight and an identity, cos at the moment, apart from chasing-the-game-rush-of-blood periods, we appear clueless and inadequate

Too many players simply not good enough. Some of them are not even close to being good enough.

We need to hope that the new boys are able to make a difference, they need to be good enough (too early to write any of them off yet) and they need to be starting. And on top of that, we need more players in before the end of Monday.

Our defence is a fucking bomb scare - opposition attackers must love playing against that.

There's not a lot to be positive about TBH - beaten by a much better side today.

I just think he’s being asked to do something he’s never going to be able to be.

Is he being asked to play football? Fucking atrocious player.

The first half performance was up there with the worst I've seen from us in the PL.

The starting 11 had no creativity, no one willing to play a cross field pass and we didn't even have any fight.

Yep, fair play to Moyes and Everton, they looked well-drilled, know what they are and were brave from the go.

You could see we were losing this in all likelihood after 10 mins, which is criminal at home unless you're playing one of the elite in form

It’s completely logical to be pessimistic. And maybe completely correct. But I still think there’s enough in this team to survive (assuming the next couple of days go well enough). It’s bits and pieces stuff, and his track record in terms of average incumbency is a worry, but there should be enough to fashion a functioning team for VP. At present it’s like they’ve never met and have no coherent plan.

Obviously it needs to turn around quickly this year though. I can’t imagine anyone else coming in and fixing us. No reasonable uptick by the end of October and clearly we’re gone.

There are not three worse teams than us in the league, so we’ll go down. Simple maths.

Pleased to hear some anti-Fosun chanting from the crowd today.

Difficult to be too angry with a number of the players as we know they’re not good enough, but Vítor is starting to really frustrate me with some of his decision making.

Everyone allergic to get in the opposition box but when Rodrigo does we score. Mad isn’t it?

Can’t be arsed to write any more.

No problems with trying to be level headed...I'm trying my best too, but you can't say this team has enough to survive while also factoring players in who aren't here and may not be. That's two different arguments.

So far the only one we can be confident about is the massive lad from Belgium, and he'll probably just end up being a JSL replacement

The defence need to take full responsibilty for that, with a pass for santi who was the best of the lot, steady but not spectacular. Tschachousa was under pressure from grealish but more so from agbadoo.
Hugo can't defend, his positioning for every thing is shite.
Joao not in it at all today, i blame the saft haircut.
Hwang scored.
Munetsi ran himself ragged but the position he's played in doesn't work at all without Jsl or Sasa.
Arias shows signs but well off it at the moment.
Bellegarde, perez, got us moving and rodrigo has to play, even at lb instead of hugo, and the amount of knock downs Sasa won, put Jsl to shame.
Lets see where we are monday night and hope vitor gets his mojo back.

It’s more a feeling that the transfer window has been particularly disruptive and I can’t wait for it to end either way.

Anyway, I’m hardly cheery as I’m schlepping back in the pissing rain and it’s nearly four hours back from the match tonight. So I definitely have limited enthusiasm for defending a small amount of optimism I’m struggling to believe in as it is.

Why the fck did we make Toti captain?! At least there are some options for change at CB.
