Wolves 2-3 Everton - verdict thread.

Vítor is starting to really frustrate me with some of his decision making

VP can't escape criticism, but we have such an array of mediocrity (at best), that most of the CBs, wing backs and forwards look to have a similar kind of output, so there's precious little difference between most of them, aside from the striker who has probably played his last game for us.

Used to be a time where we had a weak squad and consequent big drop off when we subbed a 'star', now I'm not sure we really have any stars?

We’re miles off. I wouldn’t even bother spending the money, because it’s not going to help. All the players we’ve signed will go at losses (except maybe Lopez).

We’re a team of 6 or 7 / 10 on a good day and zero difference makers. We had 8 of 9 / 10 players and then the others just had to be functional. Now functional is the better players and that’s the issue. Jackson, Wolfe, Arias all functional at best. Lopez looks like he has ability but he’s barely played any top level football.

I don’t even know what we need to sign as all positions could be improved. Even the ones we’ve spent £90m on in the last two windows and I can’t include Krejci yet.

Desperately need the new centre half to be able to come in and marshall the defence straight away. Desperately need the likes of Arias and Lopez to find form quickly. Desperately need a couple more signings before the window shuts. Desperately need Vitor to find a line up and system that is capable of getting results at this level.
Not confident of any of the above will come to fruition.

We miss RAN so much. We are devoid of any creativity, literally no clue how to get the ball from the GK / CBs up the pitch. It's on VP, he's built a team of mutants with zero football ability. Lopez was so much better than everyone else it was laughable.

Oh well, only two weeks of no football to stew over all this until we have to witness JSL score the winner against us :D

Built a team of mutants who don't even work hard.

The lack of flair is atrocious.

Takeaways from today for me

Abga is looking lost (would rather doherty play sorry DW)
Toti is no captain
Munetsi is gash
VAR once again
Team looks lethargic
Missed JSL
Sasa looks very motivated
Arias needs to find form fast
R. Gomes showing he gives a f*ck

Fosun have us in managed decline & need to back us with some quality signings or f*ck off themselves

I do think VP has got off easy, at least on other forums. If he indeed has more oversight, then while I appreciate we won't get like for like for RAN, Wolfe (and I won't judge too early overall) is not going to give that unpredictability, so where is it coming from?

Gomes, R though, has to start, not sure where in this makeshift collage of mess.

Sleepwalking to relegation.

All the problems stem from the back 3. Currently, none of them are good enough. 2 never have been, and Agbadou's had some sort of collapse. We need Mosquera and Krejci in ASAP and hope they lift Agbadou. We should at least be more able to beat the press and build from the back.

I'm hanging on to the knowledge that this defence was pretty solid in the second half of last season and so it can be again, but the precipitous decline of Agba is very worrying and Vitor needs to sort that out. Can't have your "best" centre back giving away goals for free every week.

We look so flat with that starting lineup. I'm really not seeing much from Arias yet. He might just need to like to settle but his energy levels look very low and he's offered little.

We're looking like relegation fodder. The positive is we at least created a threat when we used our bench. Vitor needs to tweak that lineup because it's been another pathetic start.

At least it’s all set up for Dychey!

I really hope that Krejci has some leadership skills because there are none between the current back 3. I don't know much about him but I think we're fucked unless he's got a bit about him.

That back 3 were fucking appalling today. No quality, no communication, lacking concentration etc. Sure, having Munetsi and Hwang up front is hardly inspiring (though fair play to them for Hwang's goal - that was excellent!) but we're never going to get points with such a fragile back line.

We know Agbadou has the ability - as @Templeton Peck said above, I just hope Mosquera and Krejci are able to get him back to the player he was last season.

Santi Walder Frey is rubbish and Toti is way below the required standard.

It's a huge concern.

I know we have some below par players but I’m quickly losing patience with Vitor. Rumours of discontent, players not looking fit enough, poor team selections etc. It all seems to be pointing in the same direction most of his jobs seem to go in. Hopefully I’m wrong as I like the guy.
