Wolves dream team

-----------------Murray------------------
Muscat----Curle----Lescott----McNamara
Jarvis-------Rae------Thomas--------Sako
--------------Bull-------Keane------------

Subs: Hennessey, Pollet, Thompson, Kightly, Dennison, Henry, Fletcher

I've shoehorned Jarvis in on the right instead of Kightly

-----------------Paul Jones------------------
Paul Blades----Paul Butler----Paul Stancliffe----Paul Cook
Paul Birch-------Paul Ince------Paul Jones--------Paul Simpson
--------------Paul McLoughlin-------Paul Stewart------------

Cookie was wasted in midfield....

Cookie was often wasted............ I'll get me coat

Murray

Irwin---Richards---Lescott---Naylor

Kightly----Rae--- Ince ------Sako

Bull---Afobe

Subs - Stowell, Curle, Foley, Jarvis, Ebanks-Blake, Fletcher, Keane,

Ince plays with Rae as I have gone for all out attack and Sako wont track back. Notice how I have left footed players playing on the left? I wonder if KJ might try that some time. Gone for Stowell as the back up keeper as he was more consistent for me than Hennessey and a better communicator- nearly 400 games so deserves a shot.

I'd go with that one

Murray

Muscat Pollet Lescott Thompson

Kightly Rae Downing Sako

Bull Keane

Stowell

Irwin - Richards - Lescott - Thompson

Dennison - Rae - Cook - Froggatt

Bull - Mutch

Based purely on the last twenty years:

Murray

Foley (Championship version)
Lescott
Curle
Naylor

Jarvis
Rae
Cameron
Kightly

Keane
SEB

Bully, Mutch, Cook and Richards discounted due to the timeframe

The last time I did this I had a picture made up of the eleven for my fortieth birthday (cheers Kenny!)

At the time I chose

---------------------Murray

--McNamara--Lescott--Curle--Thompson

--Kightly----Cook------Rae------Kennedy

-------------Bull--------Keane

The only change I would probably make now would be maybe Sako for Kennedy.

Surprised so many people are going for Irwin, he was bang average in season one and embarrassingly past it in season two.

Im surprised Mike Stowell as only got my vote over Matt Murray, who was or more importantly 'could' have been the best Wolves keeper we had, but due to constant injury he only had 87 games in 11 years.

More games than Irwin who made your team. I like Stowell, but in his two proper seasons for us Murray was the best keeper I've seen playing for us

Some elastic use of the 20 years threshold being employed. Cook left us in January 1994, Downing in summer 1993, Thomas was realistically of no use after his big injury in September 1993 and Dennison made 9 league starts across 1995/6 and 1996/7.

Got to go back further than twenty years to get most of the team I have picked before. I can't be arsed to change it for a rather random cut off.

From my lifetime (32 years old)

Murray

Foley (first two seasons)
Richards
Lescott
Thompson

Kightly
Rae
Ince
Jarvis

Bull
SEB

If we are doing from when I started going regularly (86)

I'd replace Curle with Richards, Naylor with Thommo, Cameron with Cooky and SEB with Bully.
