Wolves Loan Watch 2025/2026

You don't guess as a CH there though. Run back with your three yard head start, belt it out for a throw then bawl at your keeper.
Yeah I agree. But I think it’s so obviously the keepers there’s not really much to guess at. He’s just assumed Butlands going to put his foot on it, and then in true Russel Martin style he’s probably thinking about moving out wide to open an angle for the pass.

Carlos van La Parra actually looked alright, but y'know. Not hard when no one ever closes you down or tracks your run.

Djiga is so bad

A genuinely baffling bit of scouting. Prince Oniangué, Paul Gladon, Joe Mason, Eggert Jonsson, Robert Niestroj levels of how did you think that was a good idea.

Djiga is so bad
Yet was very good the other week. Just seems very inconsistent, which could be an age thing - or could be that he’s not very good. Need to give him the full season there to form a proper opinion, really.

Age?

He's about the same age as Lescott was when we sold him to Everton!

Apples & oranges.

22 is still young. Players develop differently.

It's not really.

People talk about 'late bloomer' Harry Kane.

Was playing up front for England in the European Championships when he was 22. Not looking like a bad SPL player.

There isn't anything about djiga that makes me think he'll be good enough. £10m down the drain

Well how about our very own Agbadou? At Djiga’s age Agba was playing in the Tunisian league. Now he’s a PL regular.

As I say, all players develop differently. I’m not gonna stop you from writing him off if that’s what you want to do, but still too early for me to do it.

You don't always need reams of first hand evidence. I was happy to call Dean Saunders a complete spoofer (and worse) after one and a half games, sometimes it is so blindingly obvious.

Forget Kane and Lescott, Djiga is absolutely miles off where Kortney Hause was at 22, and he was never a PL player at any stage either.
